What are your thoughts on AI Copywriting tools?
I've noticed that AI copywriting tools are gaining popularity among businesses, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on them. Have any of you given them a try? What were your experiences like? I'm particularly interested in comparing AI-written content, such as ads, sales copy, and product descriptions, to human-written content. The reason I'm asking is because I'm currently working on my own AI-powered copywriting app based on OpenAI GPT. I'm excited about the possibilities it offers, especially since I'm not a big fan of writing myself. Lately, I've been relying on AI-generated content from tools like Surfer Content Editor and Jasper AI, and I find the concept quite intriguing. I would love to hear about your experiences with AI copywriting tools. Have you come across any exceptional ones? What would you use AI to write the most?

How to restore corporate veil
Hi all, I own an LLC in CA. We're about 7 months old. I've pierced the corporate veil regularly by paying my personal rent (we're operating out of a corner in my bedroom) from my business account. Yes, Im young and very dumb. I had no idea that only a portion of the expenses I was paying were actually fair use. I've hired a bookkeeper to organzine everything. Not sure if that will help. I would like to restore the LLC protections and continue building a healthy business. How do I repair the damage that has already been done? Can I write the rental payments in the books as owners draws and just pay taxes on them? Could I pay the money back using personal funds? Should I start a new LLC? Thanks so much

How do payments work for 1099/C2C through your own LLC?
Hi, I just want to preface that I’m very new ro running a corporation. I just set up a single member LLC (S-Corp) and accepted a 1099/C2C role. I assumed that payments would work like a W2 where I give them my bank details and they would direct deposit. But the client is telling me I need an invoice, W9, and void check. I’m very new to this side of contracting, can someone break it down for me

Am I wrong for napping in my work truck?
I own a service business where we go to customers houses for part of the business. Typically 3-4 hours at one house. I have 3 technicians, and one of my techs doesn’t have a license (dui suspension). There are days where the only available tech is him, so I’ll go on the job with him if I have nothing else to do and just sit in the truck. I greet the customer, occasionally help with a few things, but only for probably 15-30 mins of the whole job. I usually sit in the truck with the AC on and play on tiktok or answer a few calls/emails. Would you as a customer feel weird that just one guy is working and the others doing nothing in the truck? I have tint so it hides me a little, but they can definitely see if they walk out. If I got out and helped, it would just cut his hours down which I don’t think he wants. Is this weird?

How to Hire a Virtual Assistant for VERY Sensitive Stuff??
I'm looking to hire a virtual assistant to help me with a particular project that contains very personal information. Are there any methods reduce the chance that the VA I hire would use this info maliciously? Or have you ever used a VA that worked with sensitive material? Knowing that they're overseas I highly doubt any legal docs would work (I'm from the US).

Reloadable Purchasing Cards
I'm looking for an easy to use program for a small non profit to provide reloadable cards for easy access to funds (credit is not established so not a route to pursue.) I'm looking into the VISA options since our bank doesn't offer anything other than a Debit card. Has anyone had any experience or recommend another program? Ideally something that can easily be reloaded online after a reconciliation is presented. Thanks!

Millwright start up
Hey, small business just looking for some advice from someone in the trades who has marketed to industrial/manufacturing sectors. I’ve been a millwright for 14 years. Looking to take my career to the next level. For the last year or so I’ve done some research into starting my own small millwright company but I’m stumped on how to find work on my own. I know my target market would be small to medium sized manufacturers. I’m thinking about starting in an area I can specialize in like motor shaft alignments where the equipment and knowledge is a bit of a barrier for small company but definitely offers an advantage over throwing it together. This is something I could probably start on the side with out quitting my day job. So industrial trades ppl How did you get started? Do you specialize in niche work? Like pump alignments? Or just general Maintenace How did you meet maintenance managers and get a foot in the door? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Red Flag or Reasonable Excuse: "Due to client privacy and confidentiality, I don't have specific links to share"
I am hiring a freelancer right now and I found a candidate that may fit, but they won't provide any links to their work, citing 'confidentiality.' Why would a client mind if you showed their website as work they completed? Is this a bs excuse?

How to value a mostly passive income business
We are considering selling our ecommerce business and wanted to get thoughts on how to even value such a business. We do about $350k in revenue with approx $120-125k take home. The business mostly runs passively. On average we spend less than 5 hours a week on it. We've been at it for 6+ years and the money has been consistent with minimal effort. We do believe that if we found more time to dedicate there are clear growth opportunities still to be had. We are unsure how to value this since this isn't your standard business with huge amounts of time and effort needed to be poured in. How would you all value such a business?

Question on taxable income/write offs
Hi all, I have a stupid question I'm trying to work out. I understand that businesses expenses lower taxable income. However, I've heard the idea kicked around that if you know you're going to owe tax towards the end of the year... lets say 30k.. to spend that 30k on business expenses to avoid giving that money over to the IRS.... However, that would imply its a 1-1 correlation... as in, if I take 30k and drop it on business expenses it mitigates the 30k I have to pay the IRS... however... wouldn't this spend just lower your taxable income by 30k and marginally reduce my over all tax bill? I'm either missing something, or the idea of blowing that cash is some guru click bait stuff haha. Thanks!

T-shirt business advice
Hello everyone, I’m looking for some advice in regards to getting more profit from my small tshirt business. I started it a year ago and have got some sales just not what I’m targeting for (10k-20k per year). I’ve tried the advertising on socials like Tik tok and instagram but there’s gotta be better ways I could show my product and receive customers who actually want to buy. Any advice? I don’t want to quit because I love designing and having a tshirt company. I’m open for conversation
