Being sued for not complying with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
I received a letter saying that my company is being sued because my website is not complying with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). They offer me a settlement demand of $25,000. I did some research and seems like there is ongoing debate and legal uncertainty regarding whether the ADA applies to websites of businesses that operate exclusively online. Should I be worried? Please help.

What business to start with 250k?
Hi there, I've currently worked as a waitress/teacher for a good portion of my life. I have around 250K in cash just sitting around. I'm curious what I should do. I was thinking of buying a home, but I saw the loans the banks are giving me, but they're nearly at 7% interest for 30 years. So I'm curious what would you do in my situation? I was thinking of starting a fast food franchise restaurant (something like a fried chicken spot), but I've noticed that they require a lot more money (nearly 3-500K which I don't mind going, but most of these places require you to have it as cash). Example: I have applied to some franchises and they've told me outright that I would need a partner to make a franchise fast food restaurant because of the fact that it's their policy. FYI I live in the North East of the United States.

Square says they sent deposit, bank says they didn’t.
My wife runs a pop up business that does markets around the city very frequently. We have it set where square deposits the days funds at 8:30pm every day. We’ve used square for over 6 years with no issue until today. Did a market yesterday and ~$500 was to be deposited last night. I looked in the bank this morning and it wasn’t there. I first contacted square that says they indeed did send the deposit and to call the bank. The bank says they have no evidence of the deposit even being attempted and told me to call square back. They’re both pointing fingers and I’m honestly not even sure what to do. Has anyone ever had something like this happen?

Do small businesses often take loans for tools and equipment?
Is it a normal situation to take out loan for tools and equipment that you cannot afford at the moment to carry out work as a sole proprietorship? Is loan or leasing generally less risky / preferred?

Indoor Mouse Hunting Grounds for Pet Cats
The pain point: I have a cat. She's a pure inside cat. Attached is a pic of her. She has noisy bird toys, and she often brings them to us while meowing. We moved to a new house and she used to catch like 1 mouse every month but the new house has no mice. My idea: Indoor or outdoor Mouse Hunting arena that has a physical location that you bring your cats to, and you set them loose inside basically a big cage with obstacles in it then staff members release mice in there. The cat hunts the mice and embraces it's predator instinct. Death metal music is optional. I don't plan on actually doing this, but would be highly interested in the hypothetical of how one would pull this off.

As a small business, do you prefer to buy marketing from a business or a person?
I run my own SEO/digital marketing company and build websites too. I started this company to get out of corporate but wanted to be the main person on each of my clients projects and just have the company as THE COMPANY. But everyone in similar spaces are telling me I have to be the face. I have to teach people things and make a million videos. I don't want to do that, I'm not Flo and this ain't Progressive. I just want to continue helping companies get more calls, sales, and traffic to their websites. However, do you think this is hurting the possibilities of my business? I have clients, and my clients are happy. But....Do I need to be "THE BRAND" in order to get even more business? I don't want to educate people to build trust, I just want to do, as I've always done. So as a small business owner, do you prefer to buy your marketing from a business? or a person?

Sales tax for online sales in multiple states
I’m not new to running small business, however I am new to running small business in the US. I’m getting through the majority of do’s and don’t etc. But have one major question I can’t quite find the answer to If I’m running an online marketplace that sells a service how does sale tax work? If the business is registered in Idaho (6% sales tax) I have an “office” there (home) I charge a fee to a person A in Oregon (0% sales tax), and I charge another fee to a person B in Colorado (2.9% sales tax) What sales tax does person A and B pay? Idaho sales tax or their own local tax? I’m assuming its Idaho’s tax (6%) as I’m selling them something and Idaho wants their sales tax?? And I’m assuming thats why places like Delaware are favourable for online ecommerce sites? I know I’ll be paying personal income tax etc in Idaho, business tax etc in wherever. Just want to confirm Sales Tax as this is going to save customers money and make the service more worthwhile TIA

Are small single-person service based business still very viable without scaling up? I.E., residential/office cleaning, pressure washing, driveway sealing, etc.
Viable: A sustainable business which is capable of providing steady income. Income that is someone can live off of in 2023. Are they? These business have long been great start-ups for the small person but, much like other things, the big guy moves in and make its difficult for the small guy to survive. The pressure washing or cleaning business model is super popular. With low barriers to entry, minimal investments needed, and skills that are easy to learn, they lend themselves to most anyone looking to start their own business. However, I don't hear about many that survive. Those that do have scaled up into a totally different business model - large overhead, employees, etc. Of course that is great, but some people don't want that. They want to keep is small and and effective. So, are there small single-person serviced based businesses that still work? If not single-person, lets say no more than 2-3 employees.

Where to hire content creator with knowledge in Digital Marketing.
Think Duolinguo or Ryanair on TikTok. BrokenPlanetMarket or about___Blank on Instagram. Their social media presence has doubled thanks to their SM managers & the content they post. Not only are they excellent at using trends but they also know what works or what doesn’t. I was wondering where exactly I’d need to search to hire someone like that ? Any website recommendation ? What would be the title of that specific job ? Someone who can work full time on our brand & just fully dedicate themselves to its growth.

How valuable is customer feedback for business owners?
What sort of feedback do you collect? How do you currently collect it? Which responses are most important? Context: I'm hoping to learn if customer experience collection is a solvable problem for businesses, and one that owners consider a worthwhile investment. Mostly personal bias, but I'm under the assumption that traditional email surveys cause high nonresponse and abandonment rates. If there were a way to trim lengthy surveys and increase responses, is that something you would pay for?
