Does depreciation of company vehicles affect the chances of being approved for a mortgage?
Hello everyone. Not sure if I titled this correctly. But I have a small company with 3 company vehicles. I’m finally getting my life together. My accountant called me today and said they just finished my 2020 tax return. She told me that due to depreciation of my vehicles that I was actually a loss on net income last year. Without the depreciation I am not at a loss. Next year I will be trying to purchase my first home. I’m buying another company vehicle which I will have in august. I have to show a good net income to be able to qualify for mortgage which I’m on pace for $100,000 net profit this year without the depreciation. Will the depreciation affect my chances of getting approved for a mortgage since it obviously takes my net profit down? Sorry if this is confusing. I just wanted to see if anyone has multiple company vehicles and still bought a house. Thank you.

Moving a business from one state to another. Close or Merge?
I have a single-member LLC (pass-through) through which I do business. I recently moved to another state. What's the best way to transfer the business to the new state? Just googling around, I found two options that could work 1. Close the business in the old state. Open as a new business in the new state. (This is what I initially planned to do) 2. Open a new businesses in the new state. Merge the old business into the new business. The advantage of #2 is that you can keep the same Federal EIN. How complicated is this? Is it something I can do with Biz Filings or Legal Zoom?
