Your first big "oh shit" moment?
I just had mine and it severely rattled me. Luckily, it won't ruin me, but it still hurts. I modify consumer appliances and accidentally damaged one to the point that I had to pay for a new one. First time in 11 years. It cost 75% of my previous month's profit, which happened to be my highest grossing month ever \*add salt\*. I spent two days sitting in the dark contemplating existence and whether my insurance claim would be approved. What was your moment and how did you overcome the damage, emotionally and/or financially?

are revenues and expenses recognized when the transaction happens or when funds leave/arrive in your account?
i have a business where i am buying products and inventory on my credit card which gets charged within 1-2 days, and when i sell the inventory the payment goes to my bank account within 3-4 days, so there is a gap here. my question is how do i recognize income? is it simply the net inflows and outflows of my credit card and banking account based on the date and not when it actually leaves or arrives in my account? or is it based on when the transaction occurs and not necessarily when i receive payment?

How do i tax them? I got a nexus/selling license for my state IL. But the website then only calculates tax for people from IL. Not other states!!!! Wtf. I am lost.

Has anyone used Wave or Freshbooks for their online accounting software?
If so, how have you liked it and how does it compare to Quickbooks if you’ve used that. It seems much more affordable but am unsure what features I’d be missing out on with using one of these over Quickbooks. Any help, suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
