We use words like “stupid,” “insane,” “crazy,” “lame,” or “dumb” every day without realizing the harm they can cause. Here's why you should stop using these words (and how to do it). https://t.co/vjGGFZ0v2S

Need to fire an employee, but he will get married soon.

So this is a hard one for me, generally dont hesitate that much when i know an employee isn't going to work, but this time the guy its just starting his life in a new city, and getting married in a couple of months... so even if i dont want it, this knowledge affects my decision. I know that if i fire him he would get in some trouble, really affecting his life. Not my responsibility but still... Not doing a terrible job, but he just isn't good enough fit for the position. Already tried an improvement plan and all, but not a lot of results. Even talk to him about trying a new position, same or better wage, but he is not interested. I know what i should do, but just wanted to hear about whats your tough process in this situations or any advice possible adivce. Im thinking about keeping him for a couple of months and fire after wedding... but that could be worse for both.
