Floor time?

So I saw a post the other day talking about swings and bouncers. My son is usually in a swing if he’s not in his crib or being held. I’m just not comfortable having him on the floor. I realize he will eventually need to be so he can crawl and learn to walk but I don’t know what to do to prepare for that. Should I just lay him on a blanket on the floor? Does he even need to be on the floor if he’s not rolling yet? Sometimes I’ll lay his changing pad in the living room if I’m trying to get stuff done and he doesn’t want to hang out alone, is that enough?

Both my young kids are sick and I'm terrified

My 3.5yo and 5 month old are both Covid-positive and have all the symptoms. I've all all sorts of negative emotions run through me- from guilt, anger to sadness. My older one is better but my infant has been so feverish and fussy. We have followed our country's protocols to the T and are just waiting for their response. My infant will likely be hospitalized as per our government protocols. For the first time in my life, I felt a special kind of terror envelope my whole being and I wanted nothing more than to keep them safe, but it feels like I failed. To other parents whose kids had covid, how did you manage to recover emotionally?

Cradle Cap

What did you all use for cradle cap? Just the comb, or did you apply product as well? My mom said she used selsun blue on us as kids, curios as to what remedies others used.

I just love watching him do his own thing

My 6 month old just recently decided he loves tummy time and will just dink around for like an hour or so when I put him on his mat. He army crawls all over the place, rolls like pillbug, wrestles with his stuffed animals, chitters to himself while grabbing his feet. He's just so cute, and learning so much every day. I just love this little guy

Rear-facing vs front-facing car seat safety?

My LO gets car sick. Really bad car sick. She's always miserable in the car seat, but any car ride over 20 minutes means projectile vomiting. She's not much of a vomiter in general, so I'm fairly certain it's the car. I get very motion sick when I'm moving backwards, so I'm considering turning her car seat around. She's almost 25 lbs, and almost 28". I'm having a hard time finding real studies about the actual safety difference between rear-facing and front-facing. Can anyone share links to actual studies on this? the number 75% safer is thrown around everywhere, but I don't see any reference to actual numbers, car crash severity, baby ages/heights/weight, etc.

If you were a Native American trapper at the time of the Oregon Trail, according to @historianhuettl, you were more likely to have a rifle, so bows and arrows are an outdated stereotype. But game players can still die of dysentery. https://t.co/iUeerXx96p

How to deal with PP hairloss?!

Holy shit. I could make a wig with the amount of hair that comes out with every wash. I’m 4.5 months PP and pumping (FYI not sure if that’s relevant). How did you deal with the hair loss? Any remedies / vitamins that made a noticeable difference? Whew I hate washing my hair these days …
