Health Insurance in extremely expensive and I'm really trying to justify the cost (USA)

I'm recently self-employed for a couple of months now which means I need to look into my own health insurance. I'm in NYC if that helps. However what I've seen on the marketplace is upwards of $600 a month, plus I'd be paying the cost of visit, plus any copayments. As a young adult who is relatively healthy and rarely goes to the doctor I just find it hard to justify that cost. I don't understand the system we have in the US. If you're already paying high fees per month that should also cover anything you do at the doctor. How have y'all been able to justify it? It especially feels like it'll hurt knowing giving away hundreds of dollars per month and don't need medical regularly. I just need it in the event of.

Hey all - Just got my 941's done and I'm speechless... The ERC is no joke. Now I have a regret.... One of my businesses is a tanning salon. It's low skill so I have 5 people that help out when I need them. Since they'll only make a few hundred each this year, I usually just pay them in cash. Now I wish I would have put them on payroll to get the ERC! Can I / Should I retro add them to payroll and file a corrected 941? (seems like it might raise some questions)
