In need of mentor
I am a 30 year old male that desperately wants to start my own small business and build something of my own instead of wage slaving for the rest of my life. I have very limited knowledge and really need to understand what my first steps are once I decide what market i want to enter. I am Able to secure a small amount of startup capital but i am desperately seeking easy to digest knowledge. Please ask me anything you need if you are willing to pass some wisdom My way to begin and hopefully find some measure of success.

not a small business owner but i'm desperate for advice. i'm getting an invoice for $300 because i didn't attend an event. how will i be penalized if i don't pay?
the company charging me is sophion bioscience, they're charging me $300 because i didn't show up at the event. i technically did but only after it was over, and that was because in the email i sent them they told me the event ran through november 7th so i showed up at 7pm of november 6th. i didn't have a ticket for the 7th so i didn't show up the second day either. can they take any legal action if i don't pay this invoice?? will i be taken to small claims court? please help because i absolutely cannot afford $300 without asking my parents. I was not aware that I would get charged upon signing up for the event but now that i check my emails, they did say it in small print in a follow up email to the event. what should i do again, this is unrelated to the sub so i understand if this gets taken down but i googled invoice reddit and the only place i could find invoice related advice is on this sub so i assume everyone here knows a lot about this.

Almost one year in my first IT service business, and I think that I need some guidance.
Hello! Last December, I started my own company for providing IT services, specifically AI related services. I started at first by myself, and six months ago I hired two employees. For now, my freelance / service business made me 130k which really exceeded my expectations when I began this. The problem is however that I did things since the beginning using my intuition, my own logic, and solving problems adhoc. Obviously, this is not very efficient since I am sure that many people are doing the same thing as me, and they can help me a lot. I am not sure if I am dealing with clients well, I am not sure exactly of what the clients expects, and how to keep them. I am not sure how to manage the work in my company (keep everyone busy without having any down time), and how I can grow on solid bases. In a nutshell I need some resources that can be applied to this type of business, or subreddits where people discuss issues like that .. Thank you
