Trying to hire our first employee (SaaS product)
I've been working with a friend on a SaaS product. We mainly work on the product in our free time (weekends and afternoons). Finally, we have enough revenue to hire our first employee, a front-end developer. We already set up an LLC, tried to hire three people, but it didn't work out. They seemed not to take it seriously, or put in the time/effort we needed, or weren't as skilled as we thought. I talked to a friend who is my mentor. He suggested that we set up our project as a proper business. Everything in our project is very casual, so it didn't feel like a business until my friend told me, I mean, it's making money, and the demand requires we put more coding time into it. We work in the start-up world, so I guess that's how we need to structure our business. So, the question is, what's a good manual we can use as a guide to start structuring our company as one? Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Battery business
I’ve been making LiFePo4 batteries for a couple years now for my own personal projects I’ve basically copied [this](https://battlebornbatteries.com/product/12v-lifepo4-deep-cycle-battery/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIuKfi7pXz9AIVEmpvBB0WzAqfEAQYASABEgJHrPD_BwE) I’m thinking with the rise of Van life/ off grid living as well as our national infrastructure crumbling and power outages becoming for frequent there could be an opportunity to supply these batteries for backup power systems and off grid applications. There are a few suppliers at the same price point on Amazon not sure if it’s worth it anyways that’s my idea feedback welcome.

Cheaper Shipping Options
I'm a small bussiness that sells oral care products. Currently the majority of my items that I sell are very small and I just don't feel like it's worth it having to pay $3.50 to ship the items through usps. I'm trying to look into paying letter rates so only 1 stamp or about 53 cents. From what I've seen as long as its 1/4 inches or lower in thickness you only have to pay letter rates. From what I've seen though people get away with bigger letters and bubble mailers. Anybody know anything about this or have cheaper shipping options in mind? Most of my shipments are only 3/4 inches in thickness so it's still really close. Having $3 off in costs on each shipment adds up.

Gut checking - paying myself as a single member LLC owner
Hi All, I have an accountant but they've proved pretty useless/unresponsive, so I wanted to gut check something here, given that we're close to end of year. I understand that you're all a bunch of internet strangers and I maintain responsibility for my own actions and decisions. It's the end of my first year as a single member LLC. My understanding from everything I've read is that I can freely transfer cash between my personal and LLC bank accounts, because at the end of the day, it's all taxed as personal income. However, it appears that I can also issue myself a paycheck (including tax withholding) if I want to. I want to make sure that this is simply one way to approach paying myself, as opposed to the only way. **My question**: Can you please confirm that you've been able to simply transfer funds between business/personal bank accounts in a single-member LLC situation, without tax or regulatory problems? If so, do you advise one path over another? Thank you!

Question about filing taxes for a non operational business (will start operating 2022)
I started the process of starting a business this year but I am not yet operational (waiting on some things to clear through), so I don't have any revenue yet. I did have some expenses this year though. what is the best way to handle filing taxes in this case? Can I wait till next year to actually file and deduct expenses? Or should I file this year and claim deductions but with no revenue? Thank you

How to pay failed business debts
I started an LLC for a business that eventually failed. I shut down the LLC over one year ago and threw away the inventory to avoid any more hassle. Recently I got a letter from a debt collector addressed to the LLC (which used my home address). The LLC owes money to a shipping company for paying import duties (it’s a little over 1k USD). Assuming the debt is legitimate: What should I do now that the LLC no longer exists? Am I personally liable if I ignore the debt collector?

LLC Formation Questions
Hey, So I am starting a small business right now and I have so many questions. I never have filed for taxes ever and I have never worked for more than a couple of days, so I am astounded with all the legal documents that I have to complete. But I am starting an LLC for an online apothecary that I have created, but I don't want to pay a lot because I am still a college student. But my family has a house in California and Nevada, should I file LLC in Nevada or California, price wise? Also, do you have any tips for someone that is super confused?

Google Workplace vs Microsoft 365
Currently, I'm using Microsoft 365 to run my mountaineering business (mainly emails through them, but also calendar, a bit of file storage). Would there be any real benefits in switching to Google Workplace, particularly where the deliverability of emails is concerned? I've also tried using my web host email and Zoho Mail in the past, in both of which the emails ended up going into junk folders of my recipients, which is why I moved.

How to ship for a small business
I’m starting a small business and the biggest problem I’m having is figuring out how to ship my product at a reasonable price. We are located on the east coast of USA only shipping to continental USA to begin with. Hopefully expand later. What do other people use? Are there deals for businesses with the major shippers? What apps or website extensions do you like that makes shipping easier? Just looking for advice. Thank you in advance
