Of all the daffodils I have seen and grown, few compare to the beauty of ‘Art Design.’ Like dancing ladies in billowing skirts, hundreds of crinkled petals in shades of egg yolk and buttercream fill the center of the flower, with the color becoming richer in the outer parts of the tube. The buttercream-yellow outer petals alternate from light to dark, reflexing back. For being such a full flower, ‘Art Design’ holds up very well in stormy spring weather and is one of the first to flower. Blooms are sweetly scented, smelling of spring and flowering fruit trees. If I could grow only one daffodil, hands down, this would be it.
