Our farm is located in the beautiful Skagit Valley of Washington, which is also one of the largest tulip bulbā€“producing regions in the United States. Each spring, as the surrounding fields burst into color more than a million visitors flock to our area for the famed skagitvalleytulipfestival. Our typically quiet little farming town becomes the hub of activity (and traffic!) from late March- early May. The Tulip Festival just wrapped up and the fields are getting topped now so the tulips can focus all of their energy into making bigger bulbs, not showy flowers. Every year I discover new varieties to add to my favorites list both in our trials and by visiting other local farms. Iā€™m so excited to share our brand new resource, Floretā€™s Favorite Specialty Tulips which includes 40+ of my most loved varieties. Iā€™ve put a link in my profile if youā€™d like to download it! This beautiful scene is from tuliptown, just down the road from our farm. #ayearinflowers
