Of course we know that July 4 is Independence Day in the U.S. But lots of other things have happened on that date as well. Here are just a few of them. 1. On July 4, 1845, Henry David Thoreau began his two-year living experiment at Walden Pond, near Concord, Massachusetts. 2. On July 4, 1862, little Alice Liddell listened to a story told by Lewis Carroll during a boat trip on the Thames—it would later become 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.' It was published exactly three years later, on July 4, 1865. More at the link in our bio.

When life is challenging, how can you keep moving forward? By making a plan to be disciplined, move beyond your failures, and stay on a path to success. Early in his career, hip-hop artist Cordae had his fair share of set-backs, but the lessons he learned in times of great difficulty are what ultimately set him up for success. But how? He adopted a philosophy that helped him look beyond his situation, and instead, motivated him to keep at his goals, work hard and become a Grammy-nominated rapper at only 24 years old. "How we handle these lifetimes, these trying times, or life testers, is what decides a person's destiny," he says. Want to know more about how to go beyond your set-backs? Visit the link in our bio to watch the full talk and learn 4 tips on living a "Hi-Level" mindset. #MotivationMonday
