You’ve just returned from a trip — ready to start exploring again? No need to lace up your hiking boots or even leave your couch this time. According to travel writer Pico Iyer, the kind of exploration that should happen next (preferably two days after coming back home) is that of inward reflection on the experiences you just had. Your intended destination? Arriving at a place of growth and openness to live your life a little differently! And you don’t have to navigate this one alone — Iyer gives us a roadmap of the 3 major points (or questions) to stop and sit with. đŸ—ș Keep asking yourself these questions long after your trip, too. “Promise yourself 20 minutes every day to ensure that the journey doesn’t get lost,” says Iyer. Want to learn more? Visit the link in our bio to sign up for Pico Iyer’s TED Course, “How to take a life-changing journey.”

đŸȘƒIt’s time for #FossilFriday! Meet Diplocaulus magnicornis. This animal had two projections at the back of its skull, which gave it its boomerang shape. The function of its skull is unknown, but it was presumably related to the way the animal swam. It lived some 275 million years ago during the Early Permian, likely inhabiting ponds and streams. The skull on display in the Museum’s Hall of Vertebrate Origins was found in Baylor County, Texas. The Museum is open daily, from 10 am–5:30 pm. Plan your weekend trip!
