They were located on the hills beyond Praca Onze and formed in 1928, but disbanded a few years after and then re-organized again under the banner of Estacio de Sá. In 1928, another group deemed themselves as a Samba School, the Mangueira.

The carnival was a simple parade made up of a pair of flag holders who led the parade, floats, and the Vanguard Commission. The history of Samba Schools started with the very first group to consider themselves as a “Samba School”: “Deixa Falar”.
