Parents, teachers, and caregivers also must make an effort to move past “our own preconceived notions of ‘what boys like” & “celebrate what they like.” – @jonslasser https://t.co/nTjkKmsluZ https://t.co/cdImZ3fH3W

How much screen time is too much for a 2 year old ?

My son would rather watch music videos than learning so I took his tablet away , he doesn’t like to play any of the games I have downloaded so that’s another reason . No shaming please just suggestions

Bikini for kids

I was with my girlfriends on NYE (childless) and kids bathing suits were brought up because I stated I just bought my 7 y/o a new full piece for Christmas because she got a night to great wolf lodge as her main gift. I stated I would not allow my child to wear a bikini as I feel it’s inappropriate for public. But what other parents do is their business and I truly don’t care. They suggested I’m sexualizing my kid by viewing the situation this way….. I was quite put off by this statement. What are other peoples opinion on me not allowing her wear a bikini? Am I crazy? Note: not changing my opinion either way but curious of other’s opinion.

Great interview with Peter Gray about the inherent need for play in a child's life. And find out what happens when children do not get to experience child led play! https://t.co/tapJheUnfG #playmatters #earlyyears

With coronavirus infections soaring, the return from schools’ winter break will be different than planned for some as administrators again tweak protocols and make real-time adjustments in response to the shifting pandemic. @AP @apbuf https://t.co/7omYx8u1jG

I hate the Wonder Weeks

When I first heard of the Wonder Weeks and Leaps, I thought it was complete b.s. and yet here I am with my 5 week old apparently hitting his first leap right on time. Of course I'm thrilled about the potential developmental milestone, but the almost constant fussiness, need to be entertained and held (but only being content with a toy or position for about 5 seconds), more frequent feedings, and even more broken sleep is exhausting. If I could go back to two weeks ago when my biggest issue was that he wanted to contact nap all day, I would in a heart beat. Looking at the Wonder Weeks calendar now has me dreading the next few months. In conclusion, f*ck leaps. That is all.

By making sure that you get all the required nutrients, a vegan pregnancy is just as safe as a non-vegan one. https://t.co/IkSeDfdq6a

Am I crazy?

Anyone else in the newborn trenches, to the point you often wonder if you made a huge mistake, and yet you also 100% know you will do this again? My daughter is 8 weeks old. She's amazing in so many ways, but she's a bad sleeper and very gassy, which means I deal with my fair share of hours long cry/screaming fits. I'm a single mom who is fortunate enough to have the help of my mother, but it's still really hard. Despite all that, and even sometimes thinking I shouldn't have blown up my peaceful, puppy filled life, I know I want another. Am I insane? Anyone else crazy like me?

4 month old is freaking me out with her noises, advice needed

So my 4 month old has started to make the freakiest sound ever, it's like a combination of a dinosaur roar and chocking/gasping, I have a routine doctors appointment on Friday, so I'll ask what's up then, but I figured I'll check with other parents here too. Please sew the video: https://imgur.com/a/yJdWohk I must add, other than this weird new noise she's making my babe has been just fine, no fever, gaining weight, lots of wet diapers, generally smiling, active etc. But please tell me what she ia doing is normal, because since she started I pretty much don't sleep anymore because I keep checking if she is still breathing.
