After 4 years of infertility treatments and going through IVF, I am finally a dad! He decided to show up 12 weeks early, but I think he just wanted to see opening night of St. Louis Blues season. He will be rocking the NICU for a while, but I am so happy he is here.

New dad & raw emotion

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I’m a new father to an awesome 4 month old boy. He’s the most perfect baby anyone could dream of. I’m a guy who usually sticks to himself about his emotions and feelings. Tonight I looked at my son as I was putting him to bed after his bottle and he gave me the most precious look and smile. Nothing mattered in the world. I broke down into tears at how much I loved that little boy. I can’t tell you the last time I really cried. All i can think about is that moment and I still get choked up about it. I just want him to stay that little forever and we can freeze time at that moment. Have any other parents had that experience? All I keep thinking about is that moment and I tear up.

Be kind to everyone, you never know whose toddler just ran through the neighborhood screaming “my daddy is my husband!”

I’m a first time mom, so please go easy on me. My son is 11 months today, and I don’t get much help with him. TV (specifically Disney+) has literally been an all day thing since he was like 6 months, since it’s kind of the only way I can get anything done and I do EVERYTHING in the house. I really want to stop the constant screen time though. This will probably sound bad.. But I honestly don’t know what to do with him. He’s not interested in toys or learning type things. Doesn’t care for sorting blocks, doesn’t care to play with his toys. He only cares to watch Toy Story and play with his plush Buzz. Please help me. He’s just starting to walk, he has these foam climbing pieces he crawls around on, he only says mama and dada (which I’m sure is normal?) but whenever I try to talk with him or do learning type stuff with him he’s so uninterested.
