Those robot babies do not teach anything!
My cousin has to take care of this robot baby for one of her classes, it looks somewhat realistic, cries when it’s hungry, etc. She’s been taking care of it for a week and absolutely loves it, and “doesn’t see why taking care of my 4 month old is so hard for me.” Let me know when your robot has a blowout poop and pulls on your hair so hard it almost comes out, Ashley.

"maybe you could be a purple monkey in a bubblegum tree..."
Does anybody else wonder who the writers and musicians are that make our babies' play gym/bouncer/swing soundtracks? Does anybody else start singing along to the whole sequence, even the purely instrumental ones? I fall asleep with these songs stuck in my head and wake up with them too. 🤪

Blowout help!!
My daughter has a diaper blow out up her back almost every day, sometimes multiple times a day and I can’t figure out how to prevent it!! I hike the diaper up high up her back, then out the flaps, but it still occurs. She is 12 lbs and in size 2 diapers so I don’t think the diaper is too small. She is EBF so I know her poops are often explosive but it seems a little ridiculous with how often this is happening. Does anyone have any tips? Products that have helped? Anything is appreciated!! I can’t keep up with this much laundry and my contamination OCD is always on high alert 😵💫

Will I ever not be exhausted!!??
I have 2 kids, they are 1 and 3 years old. I eat healthy, exercise, usually get around 7 hours of sleep each night but yet I still wake up exhausted! I’m exhausted all day long. My moods are so up and down because of this. Is this normal? I was sure once my youngest started sleeping through the night that I would feel better but I’m not.. Can anyone tell me when this ends? Or is this just my life for the rest of my life? I still breastfeed if that makes a difference?.. I’m so tired of being tired!🥲😩😵💫

Should my mom go on our family vacations?
I’m super close with my mom and we used to travel together every year before I got married and had a baby. Now she’s asking “can I tag along on your family vacation this year?” Here are my thoughts: -My mom is helpful with the baby and absolutely adores the baby, and the baby loves her too. -My mom pretty much never stops talking, so her presence is tiring. She also worries a lot and projects that. Things like “could she choke on that? Is she gonna fall and hit her head? Is she too warm?” She can also be pretty high maintenance because of how nonstop she is. -Vacations really aren’t restful anymore anyway, so it’s not like she’s interrupting some romance or something. If anything, if she does come, my husband and I might be able to sneak off for a date. -She offered to pay for half of any trip we take, so we could choose nicer accommodations, rental cars, etc. Thoughts on this? Any experiences taking grandparents on family trips?

I'm assuming everyone else has these thoughts?
Every time my kids (4 and 2 yo boys) do something naughty or don't listen when I ask them to do something then proceed to get hurt, I just want to scream "KARMA DICK!" but it immediately passes and I make sure they are okay. Man I'm tired lol Sorry for the vent.

Leaving my first to go have baby 2
Those of you who have multiple kids…. How did your first handle being without you when you went into labor? My babygirl is 20 months old and spends all her time with me usually unless I work. The few days I work she stays with my mom. When I go into labor my mom is gonna stay with her. I’m just worried and a bit anxious about how she’s gonna do. She cries when she wakes up and doesn’t see us. Especially if she doesn’t see me. Any advice??

Visitor with Sinus Infection?! 12 week baby
Hi! Somebody visited our house who told us they are currently on antibiotics with sinus infection after they already arrived. We have a 12 week old who was hospitalized due to breathing issues (low oxygen) with a cold a few weeks ago. We have been trying to avoid illnesses as best as possible (not seeing any family/took our older kid out of preschool). We expressed that we aren’t comfortable with the visit since we have been trying our best to avoid viruses (cold flu RSV anything now), asked the person to let us know in advance of any cold symptoms before visiting next time, and the person just left upset. Were we in the wrong or were we right to be worried? My emotions are really on a rollercoaster today.

My son (white, age 11) was call a N*
My son (m, age 11) is playing on a fantastic team this season for rec basketball. It’s diverse in culture, personality, body size and color. All of them get along amazingly well! If you’re a parent with children in sports you know this is the nearly impossible to achieve. My son was playing basketball during practice when another child called my som who is white the n word. When he asked me later that night and told me what happened I asked for context. The child who said it is black. It was a positive comment paired with the use of N. But my son has always been told we are never to use it because it’s not our place or our word. It’s a word the Black community uses to take back after hundreds of years of oppression in its use. He thought the child was being mean but I’m not sure he was and this is a complex subject for me to explain to an 11 year old. So I’m asking for advice on how I can answer his question on how he should feel and what to do when someone calls him a n****.
