Who is cutting onions?!?! ⁣ ⁣ This is beautiful. ⁣ ⁣ I remember when I first had my daughter and she was crying a little bit. My husband was just standing over her in awe. I told him, talk to her she knows your voice. He started talking to her and she calmed down. ⁣ ⁣ I’ll never forget that moment. I’ll never forget how proud he looked. He had this look on his face that I’ll cherish forever. ⁣ ⁣ Drop an ❤️if you love this! Share this with the special men in your life. ⁣ ⁣ Dads, y’all are so appreciated and loved! I went grocery shopping with my 5yo to pick up a few items. Whenever I reached for an unplanned item, I heard him say “we are not here for this!” Needless to say, he’s been fired as my shopping assistant.

She slept for 6 hours straight!!

You guys my 5 month old was waking up every 1.5 to 2 hours crying each time! We have been trying sleep train but it wasn’t working out. My coworker suggested I move her out of the bassinet in my room and put her in her room. I didn’t think it would work but I was willing to try anything to get some sleep at this point. Well It worked!! She slept her her longest stretch ever and put herself to sleep when she did wake. Apparently babies can smell their mom from 2 feet away and maybe not smelling me worked. Not sure of the science behind that but I’m happy to finally sleep!

I won’t get to see my boys for about a year. Make sure you dads cherish these moments.

I feel like I can’t do this anymore

I love my children (3yr male & 3 month female) but I literally feel like I can’t do this anymore. Parenting a toddler during a pandemic is too hard, and I’m beginning to hate the person I have become. He is defiant, and beautiful, and funny, and clever and caring and but he evokes the most powerful rage in me I’ve ever felt. Sometimes I lose control and I shout so loud that I don’t even recognise my own voice. I know at that point that I’ve lost the battle, and I just feel awful. He’s 3! He deserves so much better than that. I feel like I’m breaking him. Like I’m broken. Like I’m not good enough. Never will be good enough. They all deserve so much better. I can’t do it anymore. I’m not sure why I’m typing this. Not looking for advice or sympathy. Just hoping that if I air these thoughts I’ll begin to think more rationally.

I still love the smell of my son!

I know it's going to sound creepy to some but hear me out! Since my son has been born I've had this really odd obsession with smelling him and he is almost 3 years old now still having the same obsession. Like my son smells the literal best and has the best smell out of anything that I've ever smelt in my entire life. Are there any other moms out there that are the same way with their little ones? Why do we do these kinds of things? I honestly feel like I am alone in this.
