Sleep sack warning
My own PSA about sleep sacks with the zipper in the middle near baby's mouth - Trust your instincts if you feel it's unsafe for your baby. I had emailed customer service bc I was nervous about something happening a few weeks ago & they reassured me that no incidents had ever been reported. Waking up to my baby's bloody sleep sack & mouth was heartbreaking. Luckily it was just a blood and he didn't choke on any piece. Kyte customer service has been less than helpful so far.

MIL made a comment about no food until 1?
She made a snide comment about how we’re feeding our baby “early” because when husband was a baby, they didn’t give food until he was a year old…. Yeah, that’s kind of hard to believe. My mom raised 8 and fed them all solids at 4-6 months. With the last one being born after my husband was born. I’m very confused lmao does anyone have any insight to this? I asked her if she’s getting weaning off of formula/breastmilk confused and she said something about table food? Someone shed some light lol

when do babies get the hang of pooping?
my kiddo is 5 weeks old and boy does he struggle. hes a regular pooper, at least 4 times a day since hes breastfed/fed expressed milk. but every single poop looks like hes absolutely fighting for his life. screaming, red, kicking. i do the bicycle kicks, i do tummy time, i do massages on his belly. it helps to a small degree and i know the crying/screaming helps engage abdominal muscles but more often than not he clenches his little belly so hard it makes him spit up. i wish there was more i could do to help him but im just so unsure as everything ive read says hes gonna learn to poop without the meltdown eventually. when did your baby learn to poop without being an absolute menace??

Son(7)negatively talks to himself when he gets in trouble.
We’ve been having a few issues with the way my son primarily speaks to my partner, his other parent. I will overhear it and my partner usually lets him continue longer than I would. Today, my partner asked son to turn down the TV to which son talked back and said “it’s not even loud, no”. Partner asked again and they bickered back and forth until partner told him to turn TV off. Son bickered back and forth about that until I texted my partner to tell him to go to his room to calm down. (I’m trying to not interfere as much). Son stomped upstairs and I overhear him saying “I’m so stupid, I always do bad things, I just want to be dead, I don’t want to be alive”. I don’t know if he does this knowing I’ll come in and soothe with “you’re not stupid, you’re a good boy but sometimes you make bad decisions”. What should I do? He does the negative talk every time he gets in trouble while he is fake crying. The not wanting to be alive is new and quite alarming to me. Advice?

Birds and bees talk that's open to sexuality
I need to have the birds and bees talk. My parents never had one with me, so I have no idea. What do I say to a 12 yo girl. If you saw my other post today she may be gay or straight. Not sure now. So what do I say that is age appropriate. At this age should I talk just about how it's done or do we include safe sex? If so what is safe sex if she is gay?

I don't deserve to be a mom, yet I'm going to be one
I have severe anxiety issues, low self esteem, depression, PTSD from some bad experiences. And now I'm pregnant and scared about what a horrible mom I'm gonna be. I'm going to go to a psychiatrist from tomorrow onwards but where will I ever find one good enough to rid me of all that is deeply rooted inside me since my (terrible) childhood. Even today I am having palpitations and panic attacks because I faced something stressful at my workplace (I'm a doctor).

My latest hobby has been daydreaming about how I think I’d be spending my time if I were kid-free…
Don’t get me wrong, I love my daughter. I’m just really drained from being a toddler mom. 😵💫 everything is a damn fight and sometimes I really, really wish it wasn’t! Sometimes I wish I could spend my hours the way I want … with nobody to answer to. I haven’t engaged in my own hobbies, or anything that brings me peace and joy, in over 1.5 years. So that’s all… I’m just really missing being an adult, doing adult things with other adults.

Sunlight
Hello fellow new parents! I would like some clarification regarding sun exposure. My LO is 4months and her pediatrician said absolutely no sunlight and I took it quite literally. Babes has never been in sunlight, we keep her completely covered in her car seat if the sunlight reaches, even during transfers, and keep her out of sun rays coming through windows. However, I’ve seen parents take pictures of their under 6months babes outside in sunlight and I thought she couldn’t even be in any sunlight until starting at 6months. Im wondering if I’m overdoing it?

Valentines/marriage bitch.
I got him a card, did my makeup, got the kids a little treat. This fucker ignored me all day and said nothing/did nothing. And now is continuing to ignore me after I blew up about it. I’m honestly just ready to be done with being given bare minimum affection unless it involves sex.
