It would be nice if adults used words like “Excuse me” and “Thank you” to children.

I just started taking out my soon to be 3 year old out in public because he finally wears a mask, yay! So everything is so new to him and he gets easily distracted by his surroundings, he’s also a bit rebellious about grabbing my hand would rather walk on his own. He follows us and stays close but has a hard time following the “stay in your lane” at the grocery store or even getting out of the way but we’re working on it. I’m just shocked at the amount of adults that do not say excuse me, or thank you when he does move. I feel this would really help in showing him manners. When someone says “excuse me” that means you’re in the way, and when he moves, it would be helpful if they said “thank you” as a way to praise him to keep up the good behavior. Am I the only one experiencing this? How do we teach adults some manners?!

I had secondary infertility. Yes, it's a real condition. I am not one and done by choice, but rather by nature. And it breaks my heart. Just another reason to not ask a woman when she's having another kid.

Found fake ID

I was looking for the Costco card in my daughter’s wallet because she’s asleep and will be until the afternoon. I found her fake ID that says she’s almost 22 years old. She’s actually only 18, turning 19 this July. What to do? I’ve found alcohol in her room before on accident when putting away clothes and when moving things for carpet replacement. I always find it by accident. I dumped out the alcohol when she was in high school. Last time I found it was this past fall and I just left it. I don’t drink or keep alcohol in the house because I was an alcoholic and she’s aware if this. I also had a fake ID when I was her age. It got me into many bars and and spent many nights partying when I was younger. But it was also when you could just go to the DMV with your friend’s birth certificate and a piece of mail and for $23 and 30 minutes later you were ready to rock n roll. Now who fucking knows what creepy scary people she dealt with to get this. Thoughts, advice?

What was the most challenging thing about parenting when your child is young?

I have a 4 year old son and the worst thing was changing diapers and now it's definitely bed time. He doesn't sleep well and says he's scared of ghosts and often wakes up and asks to sleep in our room. So what about you? What was the most challenging part of parenting with a young child?

Starting kindergarten

My son will be 5 in August. His preschool teacher says he’s more than ready to go to kindergarten. The concern is that if we start him in kindergarten this year, he will be the absolute youngest when he gets to high school and we fear him missing out on driving and other things when his friends already are. Anyone have experience with an august birthday child and school??

Can't get anything done today!

My 10 month old just wants to be held and nurse all day. Her naps are too short to get much done. She won't let me put her down without crying her head off and crawling after me and pulling on me to get me to pick her up again. I'm trying to clean, which requires bending over, so I can't just wear her. I'm so frustrated, especially since this is the second day in a row this is happening. Plus I'm feeling annoyed by the kids running around and not getting out to run the errands I wanted to do. Thanks for reading.

"Kate, a white woman, made Meghan, a bi-racial woman, cry and then allowed Meghan to get blamed, shamed, and named for it without batting an eye." YUP. The Palace never said a word to defend Meghan or quell the erroneous story. https://t.co/Mmdcduxq1X https://t.co/Cn60qwv0ai

Anyone ever used the Greenlight debit cards?

I've never given my kids an allowance before, they are 15 and 12(twins), but they are fairly responsible and helpful around the house so I'd like to start. Since I hardly ever have cash on me and they often want to purchase stuff online, I started looking for pre-paid debit cards that I could load for them each week. I found a debit card called "Greenlight" that looks like it'll do what I want it to do, but I was curious if anyone else has used it and has any helpful info to share.

If you need a portrait, I must recommend Evan Mann, in NYC. He did mine right before Covid and I'm so glad! Here are his sites: Web: https://t.co/pdlp8BUg4L Instagram: https://t.co/yYMywzQeig
