Postpartum rage? More like “nobody will respect that I am the mother of this child & the decisions I make, unless it comes to managing the household tasks and then suddenly I actually know what I’m doing more than anyone else” rage 🙄
But what do I know?

Husband's napping is getting on my nerves
I'm on my first week postpartum. My husband is on "baby bonding leave" not going to the office. I exclusively breastfeed and do all night wakings. I pretty much moved to sleeping on the couch to make it easier getting up to the newborn at night. My husband gets his 8+ hours of sleep in a big comfortable bed. And yet every time I feel like I can't stay awake during the day to the point it may be dangerous to the baby, he declares he wanted to have a nap too at this time. He even napped in my hospital room when he visited me. He is napping now. I don't have energy to be angry or argue with him, but what the actual f. How is this normal?

Baby’s dark hair turning blonde
So my baby was born with very dark hair that almost looked black from a distance. I thought she got my dark hair and didn’t get my husband’s blonde hair. Well, overtime I’ve noticed it lightening, and when I look closely it’s as if the new hair growing in underneath is a light blonde. So, out of curiosity I googled it to see if I was losing my mind. Apparently your baby’s melanin genes can stop producing as much after birth, which results in blonde hair. So, apparently she may have gotten my husband’s hair after all. I thought it was fascinating and wanted to share. It’s funny because she’s my little twin, my husband always jokes that she got 100% of me and nothing from him. It’ll be cool if it stays blonde so she has something from daddy!

“You don’t want to receive another letter from my attorney, do you?”
For some unknown reason my STBX just HAS to have carpets in the garage (like, why?). So we’ve had multiple rugs in the garage since we moved in a few years ago. Well after so many years of being exposed to rain, mud, etc the carpets started to smell of mildew, especially when it rains. I work in healthcare so I understand it’s no bueno to breathe mold into your lungs, therefore I discarded the rugs. STBX then threatened with, “I really wish you didn’t do that. Go get them and put them back or I’m getting my attorney involved. You don’t want another letter from my attorney do you?” I DONT WANT OUR CHILDREN TO BREATHE IN MOLD YOU FUCKING NARCISSISTIC PIECE OF SHIT. Frankly, it bothers me that he cares more about “winning” than exposing our children to hazardous environments. I can’t wait till I can get the fuck away from his hostile ass.

I just found out I am pregnant today. I am so scared.
I’m just looking for encouragement and motivation. I just found I am pregnant today. I also have a 13 month old. I’m am super nervous. Please done judge because I feel stupid. But when I gave birth I completely stoped taking my metformin. I took it a while before I was pregnant and while I was pregnant. I think that helps with miscarriages right? I just don’t think my body is in a good place for a baby and I feel so guilty. I have been so depressed and have gained a lot. Have untreated high blood pressure. I’m stupid. I do take depression and anxiety meds now. I made an appointment for this Tuesday to see the gyno. I am happy about this baby but I’m just so scared

Positive Experiences with Pets after Kids?
I saw a post today on Instagram about resentment toward family pets after having a child, and while I understand rationally that it was meant to validate the feelings of people who have experienced that, it really brought me down. I'm due in June, and my dog has in some ways been my world for the past eight years. He's not perfect, but I love him immensely, and all I keep seeing is negativity toward pets everywhere I look. People have even been making offhand comments to me about how my dog isn't going to be happy to no longer be the center of attention. All I need is a little positivity here. Please share your your uplifting experieces? I know it isn't going to be easy to make time for a family pet after the birth of a child, but it can't all be bad, right?

Shoutout to the pack n play
I, single-handedly, with the assistance of the pack n play, put my daughter down drowsy but awake and SHE FELL ASLEEP YALL. Why? Because the mattress jiggles ever so slightly and my baby loved it! I’m about to cry I’m so happy! This is the very first time she fell asleep without either her needing VIGOROUS rocking, a boob in her mouth, or butt patting till my hand falls off. Ok that is all, thank you Graco and your wobbly mattress.

Would you leave your newborn for a couple hours?
My boyfriends mom absolutely adores our daughter, she’s had 6 grandkids before and honestly is the only person I trust with my baby. She gave us a movie voucher at our baby shower and told us to wait until after the babies born to use it. Well little one is almost 2 weeks old and I was just wondering if it’s okay to leave our baby for a few hours or if we should wait a couple more weeks. She’s been a great help, she let us stay the night at her place in the first week and forced us to go to sleep and watched her, she also came over and watched her while I slept when my boyfriend had to go back to work on Monday and I didn’t want to be alone.

Anyone else struggle with stress eating due to your kids?
38yr SAHD of three (5/3/3mo) and I've really struggled with stress eating the couple years. I'm not majorly over weight. I'm 5'10" and hover around 195-205. My kids are really good kids but they are high energy and the oldest two tend to bicker a lot. I find myself stress eating because of it. Just today I ate a whole sleeve of Oreos without even thinking about it. Other than that I exercise and eat fairly healthy. I really feel if I can get the stress eating under control I can shed this exta 10-15lbs I want to get rid of. The eating is seriously a complusion and I find myself ripping through cookies without even realizing it. If I we single my solution would be to just not have it in the house however my wife likes her sweets. Any tips?
