Do you really bath your baby daily?
I read so often that people’s routines here include daily baths for the baby before bed…do many people really do that? Where I am from the guideline is once a week or twice a week if not necessary due to e.g. a blowout. What do you think? Just wanted to know :)

How much was just your babies hospital costs?
I’m currently on my parents insurance still and thankfully have full coverage for my portion of hospital costs. My baby will go on my husband’s insurance after birth. I’m curious if anyone had separate bills for baby and could give me an estimate of what they paid.

It finally happened.
Today, for one glorious hour….. ALL of the laundry was done. In the entire house. Everything was clean, folded, and put away. Not a dirty piece of clothing as far as the eye could see. I basked in the feeling. I made a Bloody Mary with a delectable beer chase. I gazed out the window and sighed, wondering what else the world had in store for me today. Of course my baby immediately spit up all over his outfit and his Sit-Me-Up seat… and then I found a pile of gross towels I had forgotten about 🫠 But I am still going to pretend that it happened. Because it may never happen again… and it. Was. Glorious.

Think of your goal as giving your child a kind of inoculation, providing him with the unconditional love, respect, trust, and sense of perspective that will serve to immunize him against the most destructive effects of an overcontrolling environment. -@alfiekohn #parenting

A careless moment and my baby ended up in the ER. Please, please try to be as mindful as you can with your very little ones.
I put my eight month old down on the floor in his nursery with my coffee a few feet away and he pulled it over and burned himself while I was out of the room for a moment. It was such a dumb, thoughtless decision. I don’t want to scare anyone or be a downer; I just hope this might give you pause to avoid a similar situation.

Baby hates being taken out of the bath
Our 12 week old seems to finally enjoy taking a bath, but will scream when we take her out, no matter how quick we put the towel on. I think it's because she feels nice and warm in the bath and it's cold when she's taken out. Any tips? I might end up buying a towel warmer but would like to try other ideas before saying goodbye to $200

MIL: I never baby proofed anything with my kids, I just told them no and they listened
Me (to my 17 month old): no 17 month old: looks at me directly in the eye, shoves handful of cat food in his mouth What have your parents told you that are complete lies?

When did you buy new clothes postpartum?
I’m 4 weeks postpartum, don’t fit any of my old jeans, and am desperate to feel like myself again. How long did it take you to settle into your new normal postpartum? I don’t even care if I go back to my pre-pregnancy size, I just need something to wear. I don’t want to waste too much money on a new wardrobe now if it won’t fit me properly in another month or so.

Who could not stand the smell of dishwasher while pregnant?
I was vomiting when dishwasher was opened right away. Horrible smell. Worst smell that bothered me. Who had the same issue?
