“ I am 43 years old and just now learning about how my own brain works, that my ongoing struggles are not my fault, and they do not represent some kind of defect in my character. I’m not lazy. I’m not stupid. I’m not a slob. And neither is my son.” https://t.co/0ErDRPipja https://t.co/SKw7pGZUtn

This Saturday, many Black communities will celebrate Juneteenth. It's a time to uplift liberation and "the experiences of those who fought—literally and figuratively—to seek true freedom for future generations." Here are ways to teach it. @learnforjustice https://t.co/5dyKz61ndQ

When limits are not consistent, toddlers will keep testing them to see what we decide today. If they find it works to nag or melt down, they will try again. This is called intermittent reinforcement. -Simone Davies, #family

How are you doing with the sleep deprivation? I just threw away my wedding ring set...
For an engagement ring, we had my grandmother's sapphire (cute story behind it) put in a beautiful setting and a band to match it (the stone isn't worth much, but has sentimental value). It was in my nightstand, which was full of random papers. I originally opened the drawer to put on my rings (yay, swelling finally went down enough that I can wear them!) but got distracted by all the garbage and just balled the rings up with the paper and tossed it in the garbage can. Whoops. THANKFULLY I REALIZED THIS ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES LATER! Saved the rings, after a bit of scrubbing my toddler's lunch off of them. How about you all? How are you doing?
