Today my toddler learned he does not like the yellow things on the counter. (At least till he naps and forgets again)

How long should you give breast milk for the biggest benefit?
I’m 3 weeks in with my little one and breastfeeding hasn’t been going well. I am pumping through the day and the rest of what he eats is formula. Is there any info on the optimal time to stop giving breast milk in favor of exclusively formula feeding? I want to try and pump for a bit longer but am wondering if there is a particularly good time to stop (after the 2 month shots? 4 months? 🤷🏻♀️)

The degree to which my toddler says I can fuck myself
He had gotten himself wedged between two chairs and was screaming. So I pulled him out. He screamed louder. Returned to the chairs. Wedged himself back into the gap, still screaming in fury. Made direct eye contact with me and pulled his own damn self out. Only then did he come over and deign to allow me to cuddle and comfort him. Sorry, kid! My bad!

I feel like I'm failing my son
So my son is seven months old. From the moment I was pregnant I was on pregnancy apps, Facebook mom groups galore, reading books about literally everything from pregnancy to diapers to potty training. I'm a young mom (19 had him at 18) and I feel like I'm failing. I was always very confident in my decisions about my parenting that I've made, because I've made them with research. But when he was about four months old I came across the idea of baby led weaning. And it sounded awesome! I started at 6 months, when he showed all the signs of being ready. But even now if he puts anything in his mouth that is not the consistency of his cereal bottle (I put cereal in his bottle due to peds request) or puree, he throws up. It doesn't matter how small I cut it. I feel like I'm failing him. I wanted to teach him independence that was appropriate for his age but it's just causing him to get sick. I feel like I'm gonna have a toddler on purees. Am I doing a bad job?

No contact with narcissistic grandparents question
Me and my husband choose to go no contact with both of my partents. which has actually been the best decision we have ever made. We are both very happy. my question is in regards to my daughter who is are 7 (almost 8). She was very close with my parents so much so they were involved in her everday life. when we went no contact part of the reason was to protect her. She is still struggling with “missing them” and its been almost a year. I’m afraid she will grow up to resent us. It’s hard to explain to her why we went no contact and sadly we live in a small town about 5 minutes from them so she is constantly reminded of her relationship with them. I’m looking for anyone who has had a similar experience and may be able to give me some friendly momma to momma advice? to add: going back even strong boundaries is not an option.

Antibodies in breastmilk
Just wanted to share that I’ve been breastfeeding my baby since he was born in December. I got my second Moderna covid shot in late March and recently decided to get an antibodies test for our little one. Came out negative :( did both, the rapid and the other one cause we really wanted him to have antibodies in order to travel abroad visit family but nothing. A doctor told us that it might be too early for the antibodies to show but who knows. The studies I read before said that babies seemed to have them 6 weeks after 2nd shot which had passed for us. I see many friends and people not taking cautions with babies and the new variant seems to be sending kids to the hospital. So just be mindful of that and you can always get a test to your baby. Better be safe.

Child is behind on potty training and starts prek in august. Potty training tips
My son will be starting preschool in august and is not all the way potty trained. His mother and I split when he was 6 months old. I currently get him every thursday to sunday but when school starts he will be with me monday to friday. I feel like the split house hold has hindered some of his progress. He will use his potty chair with me but it's like I have to get him back in the rhythm for about a day before he gets back on track. I need some tips on how to rev his progress up. I can only control what happens at my house. She has another baby at her house and has baby gates up so I am sure lack of access hasn't helped. He has some health problems that do contribute to this. He has a cyst on the back of his pituitary gland which makes him produce almost zero vasopressin which makes him pees a lot. I just don't know what I can do with him out of my care half the week.

I want to text my son (8) about nutrition but not sure how to do it
I was thinking of showing him different options of food that are the same size calories wise so it can show the difference size wise and nutritional values. Has anyone done something like this? Suggestions for different food's? Or any other advice you feel would be beneficial?

Formula weening ?? Need help pls
So, I feed my daughter formula. There. I said it. It has made me feel extremely guilty. I know it shouldn't. But it has. My daughter will be turning 1 next month. Her pediatrician mentioned about giving her "regular milk" after she turns one. Idk how that goes tbh :( Do I completely stop giving her formula as soon as she turns one? What are some things you did after your baby turned 1? What are some tips you have to offer? Thank you in advance! I really appreciate it.

Regular ER versus pediatric hospital
This is pretty random but I was thinking back on how my LO bumped his head a few months ago and I took him to the closest hospital that was just a regular ER. They saw him and cleared him but I was wondering if regular hospitals are capable of treating and diagnosing infants or if I should've taken him to the pediatric hospital that was like an hour away. If they believed he truly needed CT scans would they have transported him to the pediatric hospital? What really is the difference between the two? Sorry if this sounds stupid.

Toddler keeps canceling the dishwasher
I have a small dishwasher so only running it at night isn’t an option. My toddler likes to hit the cancel button in the middle of the cycle. 1.) Do I have to restart it when he cancels it? 2.) How can I stop him? I’ve put him in time out and such. Also, he just turned two so he’s no old enough to be reasoned with. TIA.
