For parents with math anxiety, raising kids provides a chance for a do-over. You can try experiencing the world through their eyes: a world that's made of math and full of wonder. @anya1anya @NPRCoryTurner https://t.co/cwSYT18hJJ

My Son said his first sentence!!
So this is my first post. Sorry about formatting. So I'm a first time mom to a wonderful little parasite. He turns 3 in September. He's the light of my life. Sadly he's not verbal. I am teaching him sign language so he does have some form of communication. I love it. He uses that and for a while it worked. Flash forward to 10 mins ago, and I was feeding him lomein. It's what he wanted to eat. I asked him if he wanted more?? He shook his head and said, "no more." With his words!! My jaw dropped and my eyes started watering. I told him good job and gave him a high five. He's big into self appreciation. I wanted to share this with someone since I don't have many friends. The ones I do have won't really know how big this is. Have a great day.

I made this artwork from a torn pair of jeans. It's about struggles with supplementing. I sew when my toddler sleeps, so this month barely at all. Thanks to this sub for your support and encouragement.

Looking for wholesome kid shows that aren't super overstimulating
Pretty much as the title states. Wondering what younger kid shows are out there from the past 20 years that would be a good fit. Slower pace shows are preferred. We want it to have **no** Agenda pushing or Politics involved or as little as possible. Seems like many shows now a days are trying to do this and we just want straight wholesome middle of the road entertainment and teachings for our kid. Thanks in advance

Historically, researchers believed that teachers in urban schools left their schools because they didn't want to work with certain students. But teachers don’t leave their students; teachers leave their principals. @ConversationUS @TravisJBristol https://t.co/kTWdQ8KoBl

Shark Hugs
I don’t really know what processed me to do this, but one day about a year ago, I accidentally invented shark hugs. At the end of the day when it’s time for bed, I start singing the Jaws theme with my arms open. I get closer and closer as the music gets faster until I catch my son. Then I put him in bed and the night is over. Well yesterday he decided to initiate the shark hug and I was chased around the house by a four year old saying “do…but … donut…. Donut donut donut donut DONUT!!!!!!!!”

Urgent help needed: my niece has stolen $400+ from me and family and I need guidance on how to confront her
Hi Bromos, I need your guidance. My niece (11 yo) has been stealing from me, my husband and my parents (her grandparents). She has taken over $400 collectively, and we have just figured this out and we know without a doubt it is my niece who has stolen it. We are taking the night to figure out how best to deal with this and we need your guidance. Bromos, how should we handle this?

WWYD? Kindergarten begins in August; no vaccine until Sept/Oct; school no longer requires masks.
My 5yo begins kindergarten in August, but his elementary school lifted the mask mandate at the end of the last school year. We have a 3yo and 15mo at home. I'm worried about him bringing covid home. BUT, we have lived rurally his whole life and he is starved for social interaction. I am loathe to let him start late and miss out on important socializing. Wwyd?
