Lies still awake game.
"mummy I can't sleep!" "Hmm, that's tough, why don't we play a game?" "YEAH! what game?" "Now listen to me carefully, you sure you can win this game?" "Yeah! I'm gonna beat you!" "I sure hope so! Now close your eyes... Lie completely still... I'll poke you every 7 minutes to see if you can stay awake!" "Ok!" *Closes eyes and giggles to herself* 5 minutes in and she's snoring away. I'm so darn proud of myself, I hope this game will help you tonight.

Wheres my me time?
I love my son, I love my other half heck I even love the dog but a woman every now and again needs some me time. I've waited patiently for days for some me time. I requested half an hour for a bath as a thank you for getting my other half a game he wanted despite having no fun money left. I tried to cash in hoping a hot steamy bath would make me feel better as I'm full of a cold only to be told no I'm ill (self inflicted stomach issues from binging on crap!) and that hes off to sleep. Bear in mind hes had all day of vr games, chatting to friends on discord and making a youtube video. Me time all day basically. Now its nearly bedtime and night feeds which is all me. So now I'm left feeling like crap with a crying baby and disappointed that I believed him when he said I would get half hour to myself. Its excuse after excuse and I'm sick of it. Where's my damn me time when I need it? I know I'm sounding selfish but I'm just sick and tired of being taken advantage of

I've just found out husband is cheating. Drank bottle of wine. What do I do?
He's 9 months old but we co sleep and he comfort feeds practically all night (we're planning to deal with that after his sleep regression) but I've drank too much and he's awake. He will not take a bottle. Never has. I remember my midwives and other mums saying "if you can stand, you can breastfeed". They said if you're aware and conscious enough to care for them then you're ok to breastfeed but that goes against the 2 units 2 hours rule I've heard so I'm confused. Let him cry or feed him?

Are all babies this... Awful?
My son just turned one year and don't get me wrong, I love him more than anything but he makes it so hard to be a pleasant human being. I am so frustrated. He has been an unhappy baby since he arrived. Now he's throwing tantrums to the point of hurting himself if I'm not close enough to catch his head from slamming backwards into the tile floor. He wants to be held constantly, he's entertained for moments at a time. I mean, the moments in the day where he's content are so far and few between I am really struggling with this new life with him. Hubs feels the same way, it's so hard when there's barely any good times. I knew having a baby was going to be hard but I was not prepared for this. He is never happy, always whining or crying or throwing tantrums. It's definitely affecting me and my mood and hubs and I are arguing constantly and it's mostly me I know. There's just this cloud of negativity surrounding our family because it's so exhausting.

We are always sick and going to the doctors. How to deal?
My kid is sick enough to go to the doctor for the third time in just over 2 months, not counting all the times my wife and I have gotten sick and we've all just been generally feeling unwell generally. Thinking back to how healthy he seemed before this started, I don't know if I can even recall a few days in a row that didn't feature some kind of general congestion and cold like symptoms. Today's the third time I've had to call out of work, and my wife has done the same. Plus still all the scheduled appointments. Please tell me it gets easier eventually because I am really starting to feel the pressure of all this sickness constantly. I should at least be thankful that I have decent insurance but even with that it gets pretty pricey too.

I can't seem to clear my 15 mos nose. The saline drops and snot sucker is a full on battle. He just screams and cries and makes it so much worse. I can't nurse him because he can't breath. I'm very frustrated. I would love a better suggestion then jamming more things up his nose.

Watch your inner critic. Ask for help when it would be oh so lovely to have. Give yourself a break. https://t.co/OFY0p4poJZ

How do you take a baby to the pool?
Do they wear a diaper under their bathing suit? What if they shit in the pool? Clearly I’m a FTM.

Daycare Advice
Hey! My wife/I are expecting our baby this December and are in need of childcare in April! We originally were going to have my mom watch the child during the day but have since decided against going that route. Lot of reasons behind that but that could be its on post We have done a lot of research and daycares in our neck of the woods run about $190-220 a week for infant daycare and gets more affordable as they age. In home daycares are much cheaper and range $130-160 a week. My question is generally are credited daycares worth the additional cost over an at home solution? What should we look for in making a decision? I love the idea of big cost savings but not at the expense of my child not getting educated while watched during the day. We looked into Nanny's and that is far above our budget, most were ranging $500 a week! Appreciative of any feedback!

Multi-Family Vacation
How do you do family vacations? I have a 17mo Old and we live over 2,000 miles from all family. We are planning a trip to vacation next year closer to both sides of family (grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles etc). Do you get a place for your family alone and tell everyone the dates and to figure out their own arrangements? Do you get a big place that fits a large family and hope that both sides get along? This is our first big vacation near everyone and I’m not sure how to best proceed that doesn’t hurt one side of the families feelings.

Ten Year Old : Too old for Toys?
My daughter is ten and gets plenty of sports and screen time but still enjoys playing with the same type of toys that she has had for years now (dolls, play kitchen, Lego) and her upcoming birthday list has more of the same variety for wish list items. When friends come over they say things to her like "You still have all your toys?" or "I asked for this but my mom said I was too old". My question is does anyone else's ten year old still play with toys or have they outgrown all of them already?
