Pockets
I love the pockets on baby clothes, my LOs wardrobe consists of more than half of pocketed clothing. Like what is he going to put in there?!?!? His baby wallet and keys?!

Baby brain or plain stupid?
So I have been using nipple pads to help with leaking breasts for the past few days. I was in pain ripping them off my breasts and they barely worked properly as the milk still leaked everywhere. I then suddenly realised the sticky adhesive side sticks onto my bra and not the actual nipple...

Constantly bothered by something that others do regarding my child
I’m constantly bothered by something that others do regarding my kiddo and I can tell that others think I’m really annoying about it. I don’t know if I’m in the wrong and should chill a bit, or are others really that oblivious of what’s ok for the child. Recently I’ve been bothered by my mom and SiL feeding my kiddo with their cutlery and giving him to drink from their glasses - I think it’s unhygienic, and my SiL has herpes (I have never seen her feeding him while her herpes was active, but still). Before that I asked them to install some safety thingies to the windows he can reach, because he learned how to open them. MiL also bought him slippers without telling me, and I asked her not to do that because I pick his shoes and slippers carefully, since I believe they affect the way his feet develop. And the list goes on, I hope you get the idea. Am I overreacting and are these things really so minor that I should let them be? I don’t know anymore.

Nearing Due Date
Did any of you moms get super annoyed with everyone checking in with you near your due date and asking shit like “when is baby coming?” “We are ready for you _____!” I may sound like a b**** but can I just be left in peace and let my body do what it will without feeling pressure like I’m behind on schedule or something?! Jeez

Parents of older kids: Regrets? Advice? What would you have done differently?
For those of you who have older kids, what are some things you wish you would have done differently when your child was a baby? Or do you have any advice? I have an 8 month old daughter and I’m not sure I want anymore kids so I really want to enjoy and savour these moments with her while she’s so small. Just curious what those of you with older kids have to say.

A partner who gets it…
I’m a SAHM and we have a fresh 2 year old and a nine week old and the other day was ROUGH. Our eldest was teething and our little one was having a hard time with a developmental leaps (see wonder weeks). Well my husband tagged in and the next day brought me a treat to lift my spirits. A sweet card saying: “Thinking of you during this difficult time. No matter what you’re going through, inside you’re still the same great you… And _I’m thinking of you every single day._ Thanks for not losing your shit and killing our kids!!” It’s so nice to have a husband who gets it and keeps me laughing!!!

Quit my job and become a SAHM? Or spend all my money on daycare.
My babysitter just found out she has breast cancer and has to go for a partial mastectomy next week so she is closing this Friday for an unknown amount of time. I have 2 boys - 3 and 6 years old. My fiance and I both work mon-fri 8-5 jobs. I can't find any reasonable childcare in such short notice and I'm at a loss of what to do. I don't make great money at my job and my fiance has suggested I quit and stay home with the kids, possibly get an evening job if I'd like extra spending money. If we put the kids in daycare it'd be $1200 a month. That's a boat load of money that I'd rather not spend. Part of me feels quitting my job is a drastic jump, but at the same time my kids come first and I'm not going to let just anybody watch them. I know my boss will be disappointed and ask me to stay. But I only make $2 more than minimum wage. Help me feel better about this 🙃

One reason Zoom fatigue is so prevalent is because most screen time involves passive learning—where students stare at the screen listening to the teacher, trying hard to stay focused. @ASCD https://t.co/8Gl1cEAZFj

I hate bedtimes.
My son is a pain to get to sleep at night. He will not go to sleep on his own. Bedtime takes over an hour, sometimes 2 and then me and my husband don't get chance to have time to ourselves in an evening. We've tried rocking, letting him cry himself to sleep, holding his hand, stroking his face. Nothing works. I'm at my wits end with this. Is it just my baby or has anyone else experienced this? He will be 9 months in August. If anyone has any advice please help 😅

Baby Registry Ideas
My wife and I are expecting baby Evie in November, and we want to expand our baby registry a bit. Are there any commonly-overlooked items you recommend adding to a registry?

Am I a bad mom because I’m not playful with my baby?
I watch him interact with other people and they’re animated and silly but when I interact we’re less animated. I’ve never really been someone who could cut loose and goof around but I can’t help feeling lesser than because I’m not as playful. If I am a bad mom for not being fun then how do I tap into my inner child to be a better mom?

Try harder attitude to breastfeeding
Need to rant here... took my little one to visit my Dad and his boyfriend last week, was a really nice trip but something his boyfriend said has got me still griding my teeth. So I was talking to him about parenting and I said something along the lines of "considering how essential breastfeeding is to survival, its amazing how hard it actually is". Just for a bit of context I have had to exclusively pump since birth because my baby couldn't get/keep a latch to keep a very long story short. His response was "well I guess in the wild they would just have to try harder" i just ended the discussion there because I was really angry and offended and I didn't want to fall out with him, but SERIOUSLY?

MOTHER IN LAW RANT
ive been really struggling with my 6mo at the moment. he’s been waking 4/5 times a night and im so exhausted! so my MIL offered to take him for a couple of hours today. i was so grateful, until she brought him home. he has JUST started weaning, and he has CMPA plus allergies run in my family so we are being cautious. and today, she let him try mcdonalds. MCDONALDS. and he drank orange juice. pure tropicana orange juice. so guess who had a hyper, sugar filled, screaming tiny baby with potentially a boat load of allergens in his system??? ME
