I was scolded because I didn’t bring our 2.5 month old to the bathroom with me.

Long story short, son’s dad takes a good 20-45 minutes in the bathroom. We’re all 100% he has IBS but won’t admit to it or go to the doctor for it. It’s ridiculous. He’s done this the whole time we’ve been together and since he was young. I had to go to the bathroom really bad and after having a 3rd degree tear I can’t really “hold in” a #2. It’s annoying and I’m building strength every day. Otherwise, I put our son down and ran to the bathroom. Dad comes back pissed like “you can’t just leave him there” and I explained I can’t hold it in and I was about to piss/sh*t all over myself and he just says “take him with you”. I’m still in the bathroom pissed. I’m over it.

Need ideas for postpartum meals to stockpile.

Hey everyone! My baby is due any day now and my partner and I are doing final prep for delivery day. We’ve been mulling over mealtimes and what to have ready/available in the house to get us through the first few weeks. What kinds of meals/foods did you keep stocked that saved your life during the newborn phase? We’re both skilled at cooking so open to meal prep, just needing some inspo! Dietary caveat: No seafood, everything else is on the table. :)

Is there any developmental reason my preschooler asks me questions he knows the answer to?

Also the same question (that he already knows the answer to) over and over and over…..

How far do you let your twelve year old walk by themselves?

Notes: - safe ish neighborhood - fun destinations are on city main street which is also a state highway (lots of semis) - kid believes they can "take care of themself if attacked" - kid has had two years of martial arts but hasn't practiced in some time. - kid has depression and anxiety - kid does not want to take dog

Send to daycare or not - what would you do?

My husband and I work from home with flexible hours. We take turns taking care of our 1.5 year old daughter to fit around our schedule. Lately we've been wondering if we ought to let her go to daycare - we're guessing daycare has a lot of activities that she simply doesn't get at home. Then again, a lot of the moms I talk to keep complaining that their kid comes back sick, and this is a constant source of worry among parents. At home, our daughter regularly plays alone (willingly) and with us, sensory play, reads, watches TV, helps around the house, and we go out to the playground so she can have fun with her peers. I'm just wondering if she's missing out on something by not being sent to daycare? Tl;dr: are toddlers missing out on various experiences by not going to daycare, or is staying at home actually nice/more beneficial?

I forgot to pick up my child from kindergarten today 🤦🏻‍♀️

In our school district every Wednesday we are supposed to pick up our kids a little early at 1:45. Well I totally spaced it was Wednesday and 2 comes around and I think I’m making such great time and I’ll be early to pick up my son and then I get a call that my son was sitting in the office and I hadn’t picked him up. Gosh I feel like a bad mom 🤦🏻‍♀️

How many of you didn't start losing weight until you STOPPED breastfeeding?

Just trying to get a general consensus here - what was your personal experience with weight loss and breastfeeding/pumping? Did it help you lose the baby weight? Or did you start losing after you weaned?
