Wouldn’t it be great if there was some magic phrase, some way to signal to your child that they can do more, that you do believe in them, and then actually have it be effective? It turns out, there is. https://t.co/lie9bKkBpb https://t.co/LxLceUpZtA

So much of the posturing and silly (and sometimes harmful) behavior you see in teenage boys is really a bid to belong. Keep that in mind as you see your guy navigate the challenges of his world. https://t.co/68rnDYvXmE https://t.co/LfRkOLpEJB

Paper thin patience
Hi All. So my daughter arrived for my weekend visitation a couple hours ago and December 1st I had a vasectomy so I'm in a bit of pain. My patience is super thin today, and she's doing everything to upset me, whether it's being mean, tearing stuff up or just being...a toddler. What can I do to keep myself from losing the bit of patience I have left?? I was going to cancel visitation this weekend so I could recoup my strength and not be in as much pain, but I have custody court coming up and my co-parent is the type to try and use it against me as "he doesn't want to see his child". Any and all advice welcome. Tired dad needs it

What do you do all day?
Now that my son is a bit more aware of his surroundings, I’d like to cut back on or eliminate having the TV on in the background. But what do you do for noise? I’m a SAHM and my fiancé is only home weekends, so it’s just me and my son and I can’t just sit in a silent house all day. Is having music or podcasts on my best bet? Any other suggestions?
