“You know how that happens right..?”
I’m currently pregnant with my third and someone said this too me. She followed it with a compliment to how cute our children are, but it still felt like an insult. Why do people say this? Is it like an “old person” saying that just hasn’t died out? Isn’t it meant as in insult? Like implying I need to be more educated about sex so that I’ll stop having kids? What’s the f*ing deal here? I’ll have as many as I want thanks. Lol how should I respond? I just said “yes I do know how it happens” with a pretend happy face. Because I wasn’t expecting that..

Raise your hand if you are only a couple days into holiday break and are already googling “How expensive are boarding schools in Switzerland?”
It’s not just me…right?

How do parents manage to have EpiPens handy at all times?
We recently discovered that our 2 year old daughter is severely allergic to shellfish. Our pediatrician prescribed EpiPens for her, so we can have them handy at all times. My question is, how do EpiPen parents manage to keep them handy, when you are not at home? I can imagine my wife carrying one in her purse at all times, but sometimes it’s just me and my daughter. I can’t just stick it in my pants pocket. Putting it in the car can run the risk of very hot temperatures, and we have been advised to maintain room temperature storage. Where else do people keep EpiPens for easy access? There may be a remarkably easy answer that I may have overlooked, so please go easy on me if that is the case.

All I want for christmas...
Is to not see my mother-in-law. My husband feels bad because she doesn't have anywhere to go (she was a terrible mother so her daughter doesn't talk to her, and she's obnoxious so people just don't like her). He wants her there right when the kids open presents, which I told him I don't want. If he wants her there, fine, but I'm the one who decorated, I'm the one who's cooking, and I'm the one who picked out and wrapped all the gifts. I want to wake up in the morning, drink my coffee, and watch my kids open their gifts. I don't need to hear this overly excited high pitched "OH MY GOSH, WHAT DID YOU GET? THATS SO EXCITING" after every gift while I'm trying to record my kids opening their gifts. She's just so condescending and annoying and I just want to enjoy my morning with my fucking kids.

Sexually suggestive remarks by 4-year-old
I was playing with my 4-year-old nephew when he asked me to pretend to be a doctor and him the patient and asked me first to treat his tooth, his ear and then proceeded to hint that I treat "something else", he made sure to whisper that and got giggly saying it because his grandma (my mom) and his mom were around (he even asked them to leave). Should I be concerned? Is this normal behavior for a 4-year-old? How should I proceed?

Do I tell my 6 year old that her Grandmother is going to die? If so, how?
So, I found out recently that my mother (62) has aggressive cancer and has a very short amount of time left. We live a long ways away and will probably not be able to see her before she dies. She is too week to chat online and the cancer has completely taken her voice. I send her messages for her to hear and that's about all My daughter (6) has been told that she's sick and that's why she can't talk on the phone anymore etc. On one hand, I want my daughter to be free from the oppressive sadness that I'm feeling but on the other hand, I feel like she deserves the opportunity to say her goodbyes in whatever way she needs. My wife's parents are absent in her life and my dad is only around once a year or so and isn't close with anyone. So my Mom is essentially the only active and involved grandparent she has and she's going to lose her very soon. So do I wait until my mom dies to tell her? Do I prepare her for the inevitable? How? Any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone else just not having a good time?
3 weeks post partum, had a baby girl as a FTM. My family is out of state but husband's fam is nearby. I had a pretty intense delivery, still healing. Also pumping religiously. I'm of the "not wanting to take my 3 week old outside/to a family gathering" camp, whereas husband is of the "it's her first Christmas, everyone got her presents, it's Christmas, most meaningful holiday ever, it's Christmas, family time, cheer and merry moments, it's Christmas, etc." camp. I was raised Muslim (although not devout) and didn't celebrate xmas until meeting him+joining his family. Husband is Catholic so this holiday is everything to him-literally everything. I'm too tired and exhausted and have 0 brain space for arguments/justifications. I'm just not having a good time right now with anything going on in life.

Santa's Gifts
Which gifts do you label from Santa? And how many? I grew up in a household where my parents labelled the most expensive gifts from Santa and I understand now that this is poor practice especially for school aged children who might interact with less fortunate children. Any advice? Discussion?

Childproofing advice?
Had a little boy in November. Our first and we know nothing lol. Was wondering what advice and tips anyone has for baby proofing the house? I know it's still a bit early for him but I'd like to get a head start. I'm just not sure about what all needs to be done. I'd love product recommendations as well if you have them!
