When the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted in January 2022, it affected the world... and space. Hurricane-speed winds and unusual electric currents formed in the ionosphere. https://t.co/VviDIFbFay 📷: NASA, NOAA, NESDIS https://t.co/9jwLMvy1bT

Raptor RUD on the test stand in McGregor. Second one in two days, but also the first RUDs we have captured over the last month or so. SpaceX is firing Raptors several times a day, continually pushing the engines to better understand the limits. https://t.co/hP71nca6af https://t.co/9QpKkV5K0T

With great power, comes great responsibility 🕸 NASAHubble captured a supernova remnant (SNR) 160,000 light-years from Earth, rupturing the ambient gas clouds around the former star. SNRs play a vital role in our understanding of the universe, as they can both create the building blocks of our universe and change its ecology. Supernovas are the last hurrah of a massive dying star; they occur when the star's fuel runs out. The immense gravitational forces cause the star to collapse so quickly that it explodes. Supernovas are seen as the universe’s factories, creating elements, planets, and even stars. Just like the "Six Million Dollar Man," the M2-F2 was rebuilt—as our M2-F3. The lifting body programs tested the concept of achieving aerodynamic lift from just the shape of wingless craft, a concept used in designing the Space Shuttle: https://t.co/fntOfeDvDH #AirSpacePhoto https://t.co/NTd9z5SacR
