Tonight there is a total lunar eclipse, commonly referred to as a "Blood Moon" as Earth's sunsets are cast onto the lunar surface. Here is a picture I captured of one in 2019. The red is much more subtle visually, but still spectacular to witness.

Total eclipse of the Moon tonight! The full Moon will turn into an eerie, luminous rotten orange among the stars for most of North America except the far northwest, and all of Central and South America. Partial eclipse begins at 10:28 p.m. EDT. https://t.co/QndBFKAB9q https://t.co/c4ANvNMGvV
