Water plumes from Saturn’s icy moon Enceladus may show promising signs of life. Though the Cassini mission ended in 2017, researchers are still combing through its plume data to get better insight into Enceladus’ ocean.

What were you up to during your last time out with your telescope?
Observed some Messier object you struggled to find for a while? Photographed an object till dawn? A wild animal visited you while staring at Saturn? Or did you watch your neighbors? I am very curious :)

Following this morning's docking of the Nauka module to the @Space_Station, the module's thrusters started firing at 12:45pm ET inadvertently and unexpectedly, moving the station 45 degrees out of attitude. Recovery operations have regained attitude and the crew is in no danger: https://t.co/jFlDZD7ZHp

What is the difference between visual and astrophotography telescope?

Getting Teff from Gaia EDR3 data
I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit but I'll try. I've been playing around with Gaia source data since DR2 got available. I recently downloaded EDR3 and quickly noticed that one of the change between DR2 and EDR3 is the absence of Teff for a given star. I understood later that this value in DR2 is computed through a complex model which need a lot of computation. I guess that's why they are waiting for DR3 to update it. Is there any recognize method to get Teff given other parameters available in EDR3 that would give a somewhat good estimate of Teff for a star without being completely off?

Following the docking of the Nauka module, the module's thrusters started firing at 12:45 pm ET, moving the station out of orientation. Ground teams have regained attitude control and the motion of the space station is stable. https://t.co/8tuzbgICs1

Unexpected thruster burns on Russia's newly-arrived Nauka module at the space station have caused the complex to move out of its proper orientation. Thrusters on the Zvezda module are counteracting Nauka’s thrusters in a “tug of war,” mission control says. https://t.co/SKKSqu5ReK
