Need help picking telescope

Hi, I am currently looking for a telescope for my wife. She likes the refractor style telescopes as they are easy for our kids to use and to just pick up wander around and set back up somewhere with She currently has a celestron powerseeker 70eq. It is very beat up and is no longer clear when looking through it. I want to give her a telescope that will amaze her when she uses it. I keep seeing 6" lense as like the top of the list for an amateur. If anyone has any insight or suggestions I would be very interested with models and personal experience with them. She may want ability to take pictures but mainly she just likes to look at random stars and objects in the sky. Thank you I have been finding celestron vx6 but is alittle out of my price range. Worth it or better options?

Before and during early dawn Sunday morning October 3rd, the waning crescent Moon forms a flat, almost isosceles triangle with Regulus and Algieba to Regulus's left. Jupiter's moon Io enters onto the planet's face at 9:19 p.m. EDT on Monday. #stargazing https://t.co/idA63mdWMx https://t.co/HQD3mt8eFe

An instrument on @ESA_Euclid will split light from distant galaxies to find their 'red shift' - measuring how fast they move thru space, like a police radar gun. The only snag? During ground testing it stopped working; no-one knew why #JustAnotherDayAtESA https://t.co/w6Uh5BqFLA https://t.co/dpeHWYxJ7O

Virtual #ESAOpenDay turned out quite in-person. After an ad-hoc invitation by @aprea to join him at #ESTEC for the @Interplanetypod with @sarahkendrew, @ESARocketKate, #Bepi, #Webb, Ariane 5 and more, Franco Ongaro invited us to #Mars. Thanks very much all! πŸ™πŸ––#ESA #Space https://t.co/QC40j7ClTQ

#OTD in 1962, Mercury "Sigma 7" launched Wally Schirra on the fifth flight of an American astronaut. His primary mission objective was to test methods of conserving attitude control fuel to extend flight and would let the spacecraft drift for long periods to better understand. https://t.co/maQNyycA1R
