The Cuban Missile Crisis began 60 years ago today when President Kennedy was briefed on U-2 photos taken over Cuba. In 1977, the CIA transferred the Hycon Model B Panoramic Camera that took the images to the National Air and Space Museum. Read more: https://t.co/Q1uzUpXZ4w https://t.co/pi6kgQiHjY

Monday night Mars shines right on the line between the horntip stars of Taurus. Look east once Mars is well up, around about 10 or 11 pm. Mars glares at magnitude –0.9, Beta Tauri above it is mag 1.6, and Zeta Tauri is much closer below Mars at mag 3.0. https://t.co/WBZAk8UbVP https://t.co/ip9GGL1X1h

How does NASA know so much about distant planets?
I was watching a video about the scariest planets in the universe, and the guy was going into immense detail about planets light years away. There is this one planet called HD 189733 b where it rains molten glass sideways. Even the wind speed of it is known. How is NASA able to figure this stuff out?
