Accessories with a 8 inch dobsonian

I’m going to be buying an Orion skyQuest xt8 in the next couple days and am wondering if there are any accessories that I should buy with it?

The pudgy, lovable, mildly creepy, microscopic Tardigrade “WaterBear” would make a most excellent @Macys Thanksgiving Day parade balloon. https://t.co/p1lynDiqAk

Any deep sky objects I can see with just an 114mm telescope?

I already tried some of the brightest ones, like M31, M45, M42, and I wondered if there’s something more I can look at.

This breathtaking image reminds us how beautiful science, exploration, and discovery can be. It was taken #OTD in 2002 by an astronaut on board the ISS and shows Space Shuttle Endeavour passing over New Zealand during STS-113. https://t.co/Q9s87EVKqj

It’s a lot easier to grow your Thanksgiving veggies on the ground than in space! To change that, we’re studying how to grow everything from lettuce to radishes on the @Space_Station to prepare us for the deep space meals of the future. https://t.co/MFKDWZGNXA https://t.co/ZqLwJF8jFf

The first production Martin B-26 Marauder was flown today in 1940. Our B-26, famously known as “Flak-Bait,” flew in over 200 missions over Europe during #WorldWarII, more than any other American aircraft. Learn more about its fascinating history: https://t.co/aJcPCjAETb https://t.co/zBfdVbdSGS

We hope your Thanksgiving is out of this world! Here are some of our favorite Thanksgivings over the years: The crew of Skylab 4 missed lunch on Thanksgiving in 1973, so they ate 2 meals at dinner! Unfortunately, they did not have any special Thanksgiving items. https://t.co/60X1amoz3R
