Back irritated BY yoga
I'm a yoga teacher and I'm just here to vent. I have a torn hip labrum, and on top of that, my low back is irritated by flexion (something seen in the cat pose and many other poses) and that back irritation makes my torn hip labrum worse. If I demo poses, or if I do a class, even when modifying for my injury, I leave class feeling worse. This has been something I've been dealing with a LOT since January. I've been in physical therapy for over 2 months. They say I should never cross my legs ever again. I had plans on teaching online classes, but I don't know if I will be able to reach online if I can't demo even basic poses like figure 4 or even a full downward facing dog.

Does Yoga improve your sense of smell ?
After about a week of Yoga I’ve started to become more sensitive to smells around me. Ordinary things like hash browns smell extraordinary.

Hey friends, it was requested that I turn my posture correction class into a series and that’s what I plan to do! I’ve just uploaded Day 2 of the yoga posture correction series. The classes will include poses that not only stretch, but also build strength and improve mobility 🥰

Yoga vs. barre
I have one question for experts. Can someone explain me, why bare more increase range of motion then yoga? And I also found something else. I feel pain on left neck, not on the right side. I feel more pain in right lower back then in right one. Also feel pain in right hamstring, not on left side. Now when I do barre 2 months, pain gone. Is it possible that yoga makes me imbalances or I had them before and yoga makes me even worst. Before yoga I didn't have those pains. I hope there here is an expert, who can answear me.

4 Poses?
So, just a stupid what if question, but now I’m curious. If your sequence was limited to 4 poses, what would they be?

Free Online Yoga Anatomy Resource
I don't think this has been posted here before - I just thought I would share this Youtube playlist for anyone, like me, who is interested in anatomy and how our bodies move during yoga asana. I'm considering doing a YTT sometime in the future, and I'm already very eager to start absorbing some of the subject matter. I ended up coming across this while searching for learning materials. I watched the first part today and I found it really great, well-explained, with examples relating the terminology back to specific yoga poses. Will definitely be working my way through the series. I'm in no way associated with the creator, just wanted to share a nice free resource for people! Anybody know what's going on at the MyYogaWorks website?
Essentially the title. I like the MyYogaWorks on demand classes because there are so many, with lots of different difficulties, moods, and the instructors are great. I opened the website yesterday, and they have launched a new website. It is, in a word, useless. A lot of the best videos are gone, or can't be accessed because the search is terrible and the filters are gone. I've stuck with them for quite a few years through a few different website designs, but this might just be it for me. I can't imagine why they decided to launch such an incomplete website, and I didn't receive any information via e-mail or message. Does anyone know if they're just in the process or working out the kinks, or if this is just it going forward? I'd like to seek out other options sooner rather than later.
