21f, should I take a teaching yoga class?
Hi, I’m Carol and for all the long 21 years of my life I never knew what I wanted to do because my brain only wanted to do what made other people happy. I still can’t disconnect from that part. I’ve been doing yoga for about 4 years now, really on and off, nothing regular until this year. I’ve been practicing at least 2 and 2 weeks, there are weeks I do it everyday. I feel like it can be my calling, you know? It makes me feel so good. But I don’t have any flexibility. I know it’s something that improves with commitment but I don’t know if I should dedicate my life so early to it. I’d love if you told me about your experience and what recommendations you have for me. Namastê.

Are Prāṇa and Electromagnetism Different?
What is the difference between prāṇa and the electromagnetic field (electricity/magnetism)? Is it possible prāṇa is an early model for what modern physics references as changes in the electromagnetic field?

Resort / hotel destination
I'd like to take a yoga-centric vacation this summer (thinking Europe/ Mediterranean, but open to elsewhere). I would love a resort-like experience that offers yoga classes, healthy food/restaurant, and spaces to relax and socialize. I would like the option to do plenty of yoga (pay per class), but not have a planned schedule like a typical "retreat." Looking for something similar to the Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bodhi Tree in Costa Rica, or Holistika in Tulum, where there are multiple classes offered throughout the day. Any and all recs are appreciated! Thanks!

Can yoga help prevent cramps in boxing?
Hey there! I've been practicing boxing for a while now, and lately, I've been dealing with some intense cramps in my legs and other parts of my body. Ouch! 😫 A friend of mine suggested trying yoga as a way to prevent these terrible cramps. I know how to stretch, but I'm curious to know if any of you think yoga could actually help with this. Have any of you experienced similar issues and found relief through yoga? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance <3

UPDATE: I had a seizure at yoga and I am embarrassed to go back
Update for any of you lovely people who gave me so much encouragement and kindness and we're wondering if I have made it back to class! I went back to class this week, and everyone was happy to see me just like you all said. I modified a few things to make sure I didn't get too close to that edge again and I stayed back by the door just in case, and the instructor was really conscious of the temperature in the room and opened some windows when it started to warm up. I made it through the entire session and had tea afterwards and it was really nice. I am really glad I fought my embarrassment to go back! Thank you again to all here who gave me so much love and warmth - I read every comment and laughed and cried and fought some inner demons too, ya know?

Should I stop practicing YOGA in public places?
As I am in a short vacation at the moment (without Yoga classes anywhere nearby) and I decided to do my training outside in nature (parks and public places). However, I noticed people are giving me a bad look and disapprove my actions.. should I stop doing Yoga outside?

Forward Fold/Half Forward Folds - Too Tight?
I've restarted my near-daily at-home yoga practice and am looking for some advice about doing sun salutations. In particular, the forward/half-forward folds. My legs/hips are much much too tight to fully *fold* like a lot of people can. How should I modify these poses to best improve? Currently I am doing forward fold with my knees bent (but still as straight as I can make them) and trying to hinge at the hips + fold my back as much as possible. For half forward fold however I am keeping my legs almost locked straight, as well as keeping my back straight and just folding at the hips as much as possible (my limiting factor feels like it's at the back of my knees which I assume is just my hamstrings?) Any guidance appreciated here! Especially around how I can improve my flexibility to do these poses better and what are suitable modifications

Seeking Feedback for Gymlink: A New App to Connect Active People in Your Community
Hello! My name is Dylan, and I'm currently developing an app called Gymlink. Our goal is to make fitness a shared adventure, from runs to yoga sessions, by creating or joining activities within your community. We envision a platform where active individuals can easily connect with one another. For instance, imagine you open the app and create an "Open Yoga Session" at your favorite park, setting the time for an hour from now. You choose the yoga level - let's say, intermediate - and you specify that you'd welcome up to 10 other yogis to join. With a single click, your activity is live and others can see it locally on their map. As members of this active community, I value your feedback and perspectives greatly. Would Gymlink be something that interests you? What features do you think would make this app more appealing or useful for you? Thank you so much for your time!

Mantras
"Inhale the future, exhale the past." \~printed on the inside of a Dove chocolate. LOL! But it made me think, it's a good affirmation. Like a twist on the "let go of things that no longer serve you." Are there any sayings you like, or come back to often, during your practice?

Preferred atmosphere for power flow class?
I'm curious to hear what kind of atmosphere/mood others prefer for power flow yoga classes. I was teaching as a sub at a studio for a while and recently picked up permanent weekly power flow classes. I practice Ashtanga mostly and don't have a whole lot of experience with power flow, but the previous instructor couldn't teach anymore and the owner asked me if I was interested. I can give a strong class with flows & build up to more advanced asanas, but I'm just not... an outwardly energetic person. I tend to focus on inner awareness & equanimous mindset, not very good at creating high-energy/engaging atmosphere (examples, psyching people up, cracking jokes..). Wondering what kind of vibe people expect/enjoy during power flows, thoughts and advice would be much appreciated :) thanks so much 🙏

Gomukhasana euphoria
I’ve had problems with one hip being higher than the other due to improper sitting. It has been giving me grief in the lower back. I did gomukhasana during a yin practice and struggled to get my hips to drop, but it did, slowly and through my breath. My hip spasmed and then gently relaxed into place guys oh myyyyy god, it was so euphoric I had to share
