Feeling judged by a teacher

This is more of a rant, apologiesif it's too long Since january of this year i've been going to the same studio several times and my only issue is that one of the teachers (who is also in charge of coordinating classes and payements) has a very hostile and passive agressive attitude. I've really tried ignoring her and asking myself if I feel judged by her because of my insecurity or something but the comments and looks she gives me make me feel uncomfortable to the point that i've considered changing studios. Just now, after getting out of a very challenging ans sweaty ashtanga class she was staring at me with a disgusted face and said in front of every other student "wow, why are you sweating so much? That's weird". I felt that was a very unprofessional comment and made me feel very self conscious. Am I overreacting or is that really a normal comment for a teacher to make?

Advice on yoga for processing trauma and grief

I'm looking for advice on how best to approach yoga as a method for processing trauma and grief - as a supplement to therapy, meditation etc. I'm 50m, reasonably fit and healthy, in a pretty good emotional place, but I'm currently working through a ton of trauma and grief from over the years (recent divorce, death of a child, death of parent, abusive parent etc) What I've found is that my trauma is really locked in my body - work on certain areas triggers floods of tears, and provides short term relief, but the area then locks up again pretty quickly I'm super motivated to process all this stuff now, and at the same time I want to do it in a way that is kind and gentle. Ideally I think I'd benefit from some great online videos, but also I can see where a teacher, and a connection with a teacher would be helpful. I'd be very grateful for advice on good approaches + things to be wary of. Links to relevant online videos would be helpful.

Is there a style of yoga that is not focused on flexibility?

Sorry for the potentially dumb question but i'm not interested in havkng more flexibility so i'd like to ask if there is a style of yoga in which flexibility is not a primary goal?

Lower center of gravity?

I feel like my body, in general, tips a bit forward. When I stand in todosana my weight seems to naturally be on the balls of my feet. Even standing on forward fold, I feel like I'm going to topple over if I'm not very active in the pose. I've been practicing for close to a year, and this is one of those "small" adjustments I'm just beginning to notice that could be why I'm continuing to struggle in certain poses. Any suggestions?

Does ashtanga yoga ever get boring since it follows the same sequences?

I’m very interested in switching from vinyasa to ashtanga classes because the vinyasa classes at my studio have pretty inconvenient hours but I’m worried ashtanga will be too boring. For example, I really wouldn’t enjoy a class full of sun salutations but I’m curious if the sequences in ashtanga are much longer than say a sun salutation and thus isn’t so repetitive. Are there maybe different sequences every class to switch things up? What have been y’all’s experience in ashtanga? :)

42yo. Any hope that I can regain the arch in my back?

Somewhere along the passage of time and inactivity, I lost it. But now I want my arch back. A little bit of disc degeneration is a limitation but I don't think it's impossible to regain. Yet, I want to hear the thoughts of all of my friends here. Thank you.

Cried at the end of the session during corpse pose

28 M. Had to give up the practice for a week while at vacation. Today I did a 31 min session for the first time and felt how my body was rebooting and powering up again. I felt I neglected my body a lot for the past few months and felt a weird compassion bubbling up. Then I teared up and just let it flow laying there. Feels good.

Warrior 2 alignment question

Hi all, When doing warrior 2 should you square your hips to the long edge of your mat or should you drive you back hip forward to try to align with the front edge of mat? I go to 2 classes and each teacher says to do it a different way. Thanks for any help!
