Anyone else’s dog love their mat? I always have to let mine get his down dog in before starting my practice.

"...in short, we believe that if more people practice yoga, the better and healthier the world will be." An excerpt from Maya Breuer's opening remarks for the welcoming ceremony to kick off the 12th Annual Symposium on Yoga Research. We are honored to be here. https://t.co/UZ1XN3E76p

Yoga and Sanskrit
I wrote a post on why learning Sanskrit might be a good idea for those who are on the path of Yoga in any capacity but for Yoga teachers in particular. I am attaching a link. Please give it a read and let me know what you think in comments. [Should you learn Sanskrit if you are a Yoga teacher?](https://www.yogchakra.com/do-i-need-to-learn-sanskrit-to-teach-yoga/)

Uncontrollable tears
Sometimes when I have a really juicy practice I get a lump in my throat. I’m physically resisting the urge to just break out into tears for no apparent reason. Anyone else have experience with this?

What are the best ways to get students?
I’m time poor and hate social media. I teach 3 yoga classes a week 1 on zoom and 2 In person at different studios. One studio I get paid, the other I rent by the hour. The by the hour studio has a more relaxed vibe which I like and I can teach a longer class so enjoy that more In one respect. My classes are quiet. I’m over the moon to have 5 or more students. I have a handful of loyal regulars, I get good feedback on my classes. They seem to suit teachers and those who prefer a more challenging class. I feel confident I am a reasonably good teacher but I’m really struggling to cover my hire costs and need more students. This causes me stress and frustration but I love teaching and don’t want to give up. I’ve been teaching 5 months at the by the hour studio and I am yet to break even. I tried switching to an evening class but so far It hasn’t picked up. Help! TIA

Studios
Those who practice yoga at a studio, how far would you be willing to drive to do so? Context: I'm super bummed b/c every yoga studio "closest" to my new residence is at least 35 minutes away. That's a huge time commitment round trip, including the class and cleanup after. I really prefer practicing at a studio, I feel I get more out of it.

Some days your process will feel slower than others, perhaps even like taking a few steps backwards. But here’s the thing… those steps backwards are usually hidden transformative moments of growth in your personal journey. #MondayMantra https://t.co/sn8Ix3slrn
