If you run, hike, bike, walk, or sit, you have tight hamstrings. Here's how to remedy that. https://t.co/mC1YLCbgOe

Colder, shorter days present us the opportunity to go inwards. Slow down with us • Take a Yin yoga class • Light your favorite candle • Prepare a cup of tea or warm beverage. Slowly sip it and use it to warm your hands 📸 @holayogstudio @thelocalnaturalista @celesteannegreene https://t.co/P2t54IdRBk

That nagging hip pain keep getting in your way? Are you starting to think it will never go away? Have you taken a look at how you are using your core and pelvic floor? And I’m NOT referring to doing more kegels and crunches! https://t.co/nYlxKu0Msi https://t.co/JSuWwU8MKv

No, you don't need a large, spacious room for your class. https://t.co/NPJBbFYSqP

How can I become a yoga teacher?

I have been practicing yoga for around 6 months now in various styles (Vinyasa, Arial, also Kundalini and other sound healing) and meditation for a few years (but not continuously). Throughout all of my life I have been interested in spirituality and the healing aspect of it. So becoming a yoga teacher feels right to me and it has been a recurring feeling for awhile. Feel like I'm on the right path and it's something I can do more professionally not to only help myself but also other people. Where can I start (I live in South East Asia btw and willing to quit my job to move around)? What should I know? Is there any requirement? (I'm particularly interested in Kundalini yoga, but other style is okay too). Hopefully someone can give me some guidance, shedding on a light on my path. Thank you.

The basic orientation of our hearts needs to be altruistic. The peace of mind that results from this brings us physical comfort too. We have better health and sounder sleep, and we can make the best use of our inner resources.

Poses with blocks

Hey there Yogis :) What are some of your favourite poses where you use blocks? How have blocks or other props helped you develop and stay safe in your practice? 🙏

achy and numb feeling when stretching

I started yoga 3 months with a friend and we always do it together and I noticed my hamstrings/hips/glutes get achy and numb after stretching in certain positions. My friend feels great all the time after she's done but not me and I was wondering if anyone else feels what I feel.
