When Goldie's favorite person brought her home, Goldie wasn't quite ready for head scratches. A lot can happen in two years though. Nowadays, Goldie can't get enough attention and loves head scratches. While her appearance may have changed a bit, her love for food has not. ^AT https://t.co/K1NvpwWnF7

It wasn’t just another “day at the office” when Ryan was inspecting a bridge. While working, he and a co-worker discovered a hound stuck on a ledge 120 feet above the Mississippi River! With the help of police, the pup, now named Bridgette, was pulled to safety and adopted! ^JH https://t.co/VD8ck0x4Y5

March is Dolphin Awareness Month and there are a lot of interesting things about dolphins you may not know. One thing that sets dolphins apart from other animals is their intelligence. For example, bottlenose dolphins can actually recognize themselves in a mirror or reflection. Another interesting fact - dolphins can turn off half their brains so they can sleep with one eye open to look out for predators! The term, “black panther,” is actually just used to describe a very darkly colored leopard or jaguar. Only about 6% of big cats are born with a genetic trait called melanism - meaning the animals have an excess of black pigment. The dark fur of a panther is still full of the typical markings of a leopard and in full sunlight you can actually see its spots. At night however, the black panther appears invisible to its prey and has often been referred to as the “ghost of the forest”.
