One of the most incredible moments of #SecretsOfTheWhales was the rare footage of a male humpback whale singing. Take a look behind-the-lens with Brian Skerry on how he went the extra mile to capture this exceptional moment. Secrets Of The Whales is now streaming on @DisneyPlus. https://t.co/5y6F5xpKbl

Steak has a way of stealing the spotlight like only a big orange tabby cat can. He was a hit during virtual happy hour with his foster mom's friends, which ultimately led him to be adopted when he caught the attention of Doug. Steak settled in quickly and is very happy. 💓 ^AT https://t.co/9TjPWsUGW8

When Jennifer saw Monkey's picture on our website, she saw his big green eyes and fell in love before traveling more than 300 miles to pick him up. The happy ending didn’t stop there. When she came to get Monkey, she fell in love with two more cats and brought all three home. ^AT https://t.co/ivLDZRJlEY

Sailer is deaf, so it’s not always easy. His adopters say the rewards certainly outweigh the challenges. “His deafness doesn’t hold him back from anything,” says Allison. “He just adapts and continues enjoying life. That's exactly what we should all be doing as well.” ♥ -AT https://t.co/OY9BmY56tI

Whether used for food or shelter, trees are essential for all kinds of life, both human and animal. Take a moment to reflect on that. Happy Arbor Day! . . . . . #arborday #koala #owl #birds #rainforest #earthmonth #picturesoftheday #potd #photosoftheday

Twelve-year-old Lucas was heartbroken when his beloved cat passed away. Lucas’ mom decided the time was right to foster a cat, thinking it just might lift Lucas’ spirits. Bermuda Night Heron (Geeust kydden) ⁣ This bird took “social distancing” to a whole new level. When I received word that someone had seen a Bermuda Night Heron on Outback Key, I knew I had to try and get it on my life list. After all, an opportunity to see one outside of Bermuda is extremely rare. ⁣ Something else that makes the encounter extraordinary is that they are nocturnal hunters. Not typically seen out in the open during the day. This one must have got way off course and wound up on our shores, as many wayward birds do this time of year. I think after its long flight, it didn’t matter what time it was - it was time to eat!⁣ 📷 Photo by :peter.brannon⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣#wildlifeowners
