Success 👏 #MarsHelicopter completed its 4th flight, going farther & faster than ever before. It also took more photos as it flew over the Martian surface. We expect those images will come down in a later data downlink, but @NASAPersevere's Hazcam caught part of the flight. https://t.co/Fx3UHu4jgv

NASA says that, because of the protests filed by both Blue Origin and Dynetics, “NASA instructed SpaceX that progress on the HLS contract has been suspended until GAO resolves all outstanding litigation related to this procurement.”

I’m headed south to my first exploration zone, and guess who’s tagging along? The #MarsHelicopter and I will be hitting the trail as it moves into a new phase to demonstrate how future rovers and aerial explorers can work together. https://t.co/oYK5sydeN4

Gratitude, wonder, connection. I’m full of and motivated by these feelings on my birthday, as my first mission to space comes to an end. This orbiting laboratory is a true testament to what we can accomplish when we work together as a team. Crew-1 is ready for our ride home! https://t.co/CC6MajkZ1E

#FlashbackFriday: 40 years ago, @NASA established an independent institute on the @JohnsHopkins campus to run science operations for the soon-to-be-built Hubble Space Telescope. @STSCI was born, and has since processed over 1.5 million observations – like the ones pictured here! https://t.co/5orj8trhwS

The aerial journey continues!🚁 The #MarsHelicopter will soon embark on a new operations demonstration phase. It’ll shift its focus from proving flight is possible on Mars to demonstrating flight operations that future aerial craft could utilize. https://t.co/wH9OHZvIjv https://t.co/Is50qZWhhk

[Meta] Is there a research focused, globally centric space subreddit with high quality moderation?
I feel like the meme of Abe Simpson shaking his fist at the clouds. There was a very recent thread regarding the situation with China's uncontrolled deorbit and the comments inside are absolutely shocking. The bottom half of the thread is mostly either jokes that China's actually going to bomb the United States or straight up unmoderated racist commentary about China's citizens and government. The top half of the thread has some high quality discussion about what and why it's happening but even two children into a comment tree it's straight up yellow panic rhetoric. I've been constantly dissapointed with the quality of discussion in this subreddit and I'm hoping there's a smaller subreddit where we can actually have unbiased discussions about the global space effort.

SpaceX has a temporary flight restriction on Saturday for Starship SN15's test flight, but the county is usually not inclined to close the beach to the public on weekends. The next road closure being published will be the best indication of when the next attempt could occur.
