Wildlife population surveys can provide a window into the often-secret lives of species around the world. In Sumatra’s Thirty Hills—one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth and home to critically endangered species like tigers—WWF-Indonesia and partners created The Thirty Hills Forest Company to manage and restore 100,000 acres of forest. Recently, the company completed its first-ever biodiversity monitoring survey in one part of the forest. The survey found five tigers, including the one in this photo, highlighting the possibility that more could be living in the area. Working alongside local communities, we must safeguard forests for species and humans alike.

We received an urgent plea for a husky mom & her two puppies. The owner in south LA can only keep them until this Sunday, otherwise he has said he will sell them to a breeder that is interested. The puppies are 2 1/2 months and mom is just over a year. Currently they live in a backyard and eat kibble off the dirt. We just want to save them.
