It's been one whole month since Nina took her first steps at the Wildlife SOS Elephant Hospital Campus. Her life was completely different; a blind, anxious and ailing elephant with a host of chronic issues causing her discomfort and pain. Now Nina's loving caretakers eagerly observe her walking around her enclosure freely while enjoying dust baths, reassuring them of her mental, emotional and physiological growth. Since Nina continues to be under intensive care and treatment, our veterinary team is planning on introducing her to one of our resident herds eventually, without putting her through any stress.
