Hypothetical question about gravity.

Let's say, hypothetically, you had a 10lbs box on earth and a rope that reached to the moon. Let's just say the rope is weightless and has no impact on the actual box. How much force would it take to pull that box off earth from the moon or would it remain 10lbs.

GO Searcher has her fast boats loaded up ahead of her mission to pick up the CRS-22 Cargo Dragon. With Elsa out in the Gulf, NASA and SpaceX are currently planning an Atlantic splashdown around midnight Wed night. Any delays could still push splashdown back over to the Gulf. https://t.co/YHKMBizzEj

In July 1998, Japan became the third country, after the U.S. and Russia, to launch a Mars probe. While Nozomi was unsuccessful in its Mars mission, the spacecraft did provide crucial information about the deep space environment. https://t.co/4DmQpyB9LJ
