When Neb's owner passed away, @BigSkyRanch8 did not hesitate to take him in. At 14 years old, though, Neb continued to get overlooked for months on end. That is until he won the hearts of his new family at the July #NationalAdoptionWeekend. To them, his age did not matter. β€οΈ https://t.co/dYVsnOQtRI

Being solitary, leopards spend a large amount of time hiding amongst the trees, living an elusive and shy lifestyle. However, a leopard needs to communicate its presence, territory, and availability to mate. While patrolling, leopards leave scent marks to indicate their territory and even reproductive availability. They do so by rubbing their cheeks against trees, spraying urine and faeces, and leaving claw marks. Leopards also produce distinctive calls to communicate - including sawing, coughing, rasping, chuffing, growling, snarling, and spitting. These calls can be heard from a distance of three kilometres! #leopard #leopards #bigcat #wildlife #wildanimal #leopardcub #wildlifesos #rescue #maharashtra #wildlifeplanet #animalplanet #rescuedanimal #conservation #animals #communication #manikdohleopardrescuecentre #animalsofinstagram
