Born blind, Juan Pablo Culasso has spent his life recording the sounds of birds and nature. Now he and partners in Colombia are making it easier for others who are visually impaired to fall in love with birds as well. https://t.co/p6Rt68tZIU

It's no secret that seabirds are important. A perspective piece out today in PNAS reinforces this and emphasizes the critical role of seabirds for islands and oceans. The paper also supports how vital seabirds are for ecosystem health. More here: https://t.co/szwW32nRYX

The EPA is currently reviewing guidelines in place for rodenticides and how to reduce exposure to them, especially for some endangered species. We at ABC are encouraged by this and hope these bird-saving policies go thru. More info on this regulation: https://t.co/TcW1jQM0Yf https://t.co/8Zp4H1JxRV

You can't come back from extinction. #COP15 is a chance the planet can't afford to miss. A paradigm shift is required. Our fate is ultimately bound up with nature and the countless species hurtling towards extinction. This is an existential necessity. https://t.co/mzdeXgCuoF

What is it about pelicans! They have entertainment value, look unusual, but are fascinating. I will always photograph them or at least keep an eye on them just in case to capture some interesting behaviour .. When they catch a reasonable sized fish, I know they will toss it around for a bit, to line it up and swallow. So I get a few images usually to choose from. .. The angle of the light was tricky, but I didn't give up and hope you like this shot. . .. A few days ago I picked up a new monitor as I had been struggling with my processing and I am so happy as it has made a difference already. .. .. #pelicansofinstagram #australianpelican #instawildlife #ausgeo #best_birds_of_ig #birdsofaustralia #bird_brilliance #seeaustralia #feather_perfection #ourplanetdaily #your_best_birds #naturyst #abcmyphoto #earthpix

You may have heard the nasal, squeaky call of a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, but have you ever spotted one? Often it darts out in a short, quick flight to snap up tiny insects in mid-air. https://t.co/Ez0Rs3pO77 https://t.co/fS5liAhM88
