It's hard to be an oracle of anything right now. Berkshire Hathaway is back to hoarding cash, suggesting that Warren Buffett is still unsure about stocks in a market rocked by a pandemic, Reddit traders and steep valuations, writes bloombergopinion's Tara Lachapelle. Berkshire Hathaway's investment activity during the final three months of 2020 was all over the place. Buffett’s investment vehicle exited more bank stocks, boosted stakes in some pharmaceutical giants but ditched Pfizer, trimmed its Apple position and bought new holdings in Verizon and Chevron. But maybe there's a solid strategy behind the madness. Tap the link in our bio to find out which of Buffett's bets have paid off.

Michael Burry - "the market is dancing on a knife's edge"
https://twitter.com/michaeljburry/status/1363383141168128004?s=21 “Speculative stock #bubbles ultimately see the gamblers take on too much debt. #MarginDebt popularity accelerates at peaks. At this point the market is dancing on a knife’s edge. Passive investing’s IQ drain, and #stonksgoup hype, add to the danger." https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Euu1vWXVoAA3r6U?format=jpg&name=small There's been a lot of talks about the current market being a bubble, that could be caused by the low interest rates and QE. Michael Burry's latest tweet had a very interesting graph showing margin debt increasing to new highs. Hadn't seen this posted and thought it could made for an interesting discussion.

How do you keep yourself motivated and energized?
I'm not an entrepreneur per se but I have various projects and business efforts on top of my (very tiring) regular job. I have a bunch of projects that I feel varying degree of enthusiasm about but on most days I can't bring myself to work on them. Between lockdown exhaustion, work fatigue, a high mental workload, keeping my social life afloat and staying physically fit I often only do small amounts of work on a few projects that I've prioritized.

Wealth taxes are being debated from California to the U.K. as a tool both to pay down debt and address inequality. Switzerland’s version offers a rare real-world example of how a levy on assets can work. The measure forces residents in one of the world’s richest nations to tally the value of their investments. We’re talking real estate, cars, fine art, Bitcoin, and even beehives and cows. A percentage is then skimmed off by local governments, varying in size and method depending on the region. It’s working for Switzerland. Tap the link in our bio for more. 📷: Christiane Oelrich/Getty Images

Cryptocurrency is breaking more new ground — this time in the art world. For the first time, Christie's will allow bidders to pay in crypto in an upcoming sale of work by the digital artist Mike Winkelmann, who goes by Beeple. Winkelmann is no stranger to digital tokens. Almost everyone who has bought or sold his pieces has done so using the digital coin Ether, and $1 artworks he sold last October are now trading for thousands of dollars as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Best passive income businesses you've actually tried
I'm still trying to figure out what to do, but my main goal is passive income. I know that's the desire for many entrepreneurs, but my reason is, I've been a stunt performer for the past 4 years, and it's pretty incredible. I got a minimum $1.5k per work day (which includes stunt adjustment and base SAG rate), and then residuals on top of that (which are killer for feature films). The stunts are much easier than people assume. I worked an average 4 days a month (8 if you include rehearsals) and averaged $8k if you include everything. It's getting saturated though, and ever since covid tightened up the industry, us newer guys have been edged out. Besides owning a parking lot or storage units, what are some smaller businesses to get into that offer at least some passive income?

Help with QuickBooks :/
I’ve got QuickBooks to help me book keeping but i’m stuck on a few things. I’m Dropshipping and buy from my suppliers in China whenever a customer buys thru my website. Customer buys thru my site -> I buy the item off my supplier and ship to customer -> Shopify charges some fees and pays the final amount to me 1) Do I need to record the fees which Shopify charge? If so how? Because shopify charges currency conversion fee & it does it in £ whereas my QuickBooks is in $ & Idk under what section and how to record that
